Every time I change a tire (most often repairing a flat) without watching one of your Tire Change videos, I end up pinching the friggen tube...I could save myselt the twenty, or so, bucks, each time, if I just took the time to watch before putting the tire on the rack... Your method makes it so easy and almost inpossible to damage the tube, and more importantly, the rim...Thanks.

"One of my favorite things to do". Those are some bold words, given that tire changes are by far my least favorite things to do. But after watching you change a tire, I can see why. Looks like a good tire stand is crucial to making a tire change go smoothly! I've been missing that part, and the dedicated tire lube. Thanks for the tips.

Your best tire change video ever for us less experienced. Thanx. Thanx big time for slowing things down. I use the Honda type rubbers (by Zeta) on the valve stems on my KTM. I think they help to keep dirt out and some water also but let the valve stem & tube move.

That depends on how much your time is worth, (and knuckles). Once you know your local dealer has a power tire changer, (making it easy for both of us), and know they do a good job, (I know I am going to scratch that anodized rim), you will never go back. :)

Ive done this several times now and it never seems to get easier. The last 2 I did I pinched both tubes. Bought new tubes and got the tires installed, went to pump it up and realised the valve stem was pushed inside the tyre, had to remove it all again, i swear I nearly cried 😅

Nope, I am have bloodied enough knuckles in the past, and had much better luck not pinching a tube with big flat head screw drivers, (never pinch) than I did spoons, (always pinch), but scratched the rim to heck (not anodized rims back then, so did not show much). My local dealer has a power tire changer, and for now, I could not be more happy about changing a tire. :)

Surely someone can come up with tyre changing spoons that are made with a strong enough material not to snap or break while at the same time doesn't scratch the shit out of the rims, some of us care about our rims looking decent and don't want to purposefully scrath them while mot riding ...

Without a tire stand, and hundreds of tire change experience this is a difficult job. Take it in and pay $50 bucks to have it mounted. This dude and all the other yt guys changing tires like an F1 team and lots of video editing make it look easy. It’s not. It’s frustrating af. Take it in to a shop.

We get your point but sometimes the shop is closed and you still want to go ride so it's good to have all the tire changing stuff and be able to do it right. I also change a lot of tires to test different types, so I don't want to run down to the shop to drop it off and then go pick it up. I can just change my own tire and be done with it.
