I have to add this because after three whole years of unsuccessful searches for a code for our Furrion TV, this was the absolute icebreaker! THANK YOU!!!! I love you!!! 😂 We won a 46" Furrion TV in 2015 and used to have Xfinity until we recently moved. We were never able to find a code that worked with the Xfinity remote but now have DirecTV at the new house. The tech guy spent 2 hours trying to program our Furrion Remote with the DirecTV Remote but was unsuccessful. OMG! I can't thank you enough!!!! Thank you!!!

This beastly little remote is not as easy to figure out as the earlier simpler ones. I just wish they would STOP "improving" them. They used to be easy and simple. I just want a remote to change channels and control volume and mute. I don't want it to be capable of dancing a minuet. I'm elderly (88) and your presentation was a bit too fast and jumpy for me but I just did reruns and it really helped a lot. ... Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to do this video! It was the perfect fix! I had a RC71 that buttons stopped working correctly and switched it to a less used remote from another room using your method! Thanks for the TV Code search VIA switch button to "TV" function, mute+select, 991, 1, Vol UP (turns TV off when code found) I have 19 years in A/V satellite and home theater, but changed vocation in 2009. One tip to add is: once the TV powers off, press and HOLD the "Select" button. Otherwise it didn't work once the code was found. Thanks again!

thanks, this is the only path that worked! I couldn't even get the green light when pushing select and mute, but I still went through the subsequent steps and the remote is now back (RC55x)

if you lost your remote, you can always request a free one from the company too, that way you will have a back up when you find the other one.

Thank you for making the video, I tried what you were saying and it didn't work though. I just wanted to let you know that if you shut of the box and turn it back on while holding "on" it will connect instantly too. At least that's what worked for me.

thnx this worked great with my RC65 remote. be patient with pushing the channel button it took a while for me to get to the right code but I got there eventually.

upon trying to program my rc73(peanut) remote to a dvd player, when get to the menu>remote>program remote screen, i am not shown av1 av2 tv etc. the prompt only shows me pair/program remote, copy settings, ir/rf, and done. what do i need to do in order to have av1, av2 etc show up?

started over from scratch and am now controlling everything on my 55 inch Westinghouse Android tv. And this with old Directv remotes that I no longer subscribe to, though my 3 inactive HR24 loaded with favorite movies still works great, sorry OT, but anybody that cancels/walks away from Directv , unhook sat from PVR day prior to cut off, and recordings remain

how do you program your guide to only show what channels you have

So I've done the step multiple times and nothing happens when I press the down volume. Is it that the remote needs to be replaced? The universal remote I have seems to work with the box though but I prefer the DirectTv remote. Is that causing issues?

Hdmi cord from the back of the genie to one of your hdmi ports on the bal of your tv. On your remote press the input button until your hdmi port cycles through to your picture.
