Dipa Ma ~ 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞
A selection of quotes and extracts from teachings of Dipa Ma taken from the website: dipama.com/
Nani Bala Barua (25 March 1911 - 1 September 1989), better known as Dipa Ma, was an Indian meditation teacher of Theravada Buddhism and was of Barua descent. She was a prominent Buddhist master in Asia and also taught in the United States where she influenced the American branch of the Vipassana movement.
Dipa Ma was a woman of extraordinary wisdom, concentration, and lovingkindness.
She was a rare example of a mother and grandmother who became a realized spiritual Master through her unwavering determination and heart. She taught many of the Vipassana Buddhist teachers in the West (including Jack Kornfield, Sharon Salzberg, and Joseph Goldstein), and the stories about her continue to inspire Buddhists and spiritual seekers today.

One again dear one! You hit the spot 🎯
I haven’t really appreciated mindfulness very much before. I felt it was a somewhat forced method that was hard to practically maintain. Almost like doing things backwards. But lately, with my awareness showing up more regularly & with far less effort, listening to this revealed a new understanding of it. Mindfulness is just the same as holding Awareness in your Heart through the day. Sounds so obvious now - only taken me 10 years! 😂

@@divinenonbinaryThat’s the ultimate practice in my experience. Holding that awareness of your True Self as the backdrop to this human existence. Making the two become One.
Dipa Ma's teachings are so beautiful ❤🎉❤
This is wonderful. I am grateful to you and all those who have labored to preserve and share the wisdom of the masters.
Dipa Ma!🙏
Beautiful. Thank you so much.💗🙏
Thank you so much❤❤❤
Lovely to hear the words of Dipa Ma again. I read her book years ago and loved that she was a householder with a daughter and yet found enlightenment. She is proof of the possibility with her simple advise. 🙏🏼
Dios l@s bendiga muchas gracias gracias gracias

Profound teaching 🪷
All as One. For, I;IS,We. Grace IS. Love IS. Eternally. 🙏🧘♂️📿🕊🎶🦋☯️
Others mindfulness is a beautiful thing to watch. The care. The deliberateness. The detail and concern.
The pause between the words being spoken are vast and blissful 🙏🏽
Beautiful ☮️💜
Mic drop (mindfully) 🙏🏼❤️
So beautiful and enlightening, and great tips to stay in the I am….drift and come back gently. If you ever get a chance I would be so grateful if you can give advice on concentration. It feels like a doing? I’m paraphrasing but this was so helpful “whenever I get time alone I turn my mind inwards in my mind there are three things love and kindness, concentration, and peace” ❤️
Thank you😘🌈 Your timing is like always so perfect💙 This is what we needed to hear💛☀️♾️🌀
You know, for me, this continual mindfulness throughout the day is very hard. I seem to immediately go into whatever I begin doing and forget to be "mindful" about that new thing that I'm now doing. 😢

In the beginning, that's how it is - for everyone , without exception . The whole process is one of eroding our resistance to just being here . It gets easier over time. The crucial thing is to keep going , don't be defeated . Go easy on yourself, friend , but just keep going , that's the one and only thing that matters. 🙏

I keep saying this, but what an amazing video. You are helping my life journey so much. Just curious. Why are the comments turned off on some of them.

is it preferable to Having peace of mind then exploring the samsara and wealth with the peace.
Why does one prefer nirvana over samsara?
@SamaneriJayasara

Well, it's not really a matter of preferencing or reifying either of these concepts. Rather, if you penetrate to the depth of understanding and insight directly (not just intellectually) as Dipa Ma did, then you will understand suffering, it's causes, and the end of suffering. Such questions will then become redundant.
