Dior did my makeup AGAIN! 😍
In today's video, I visit Dior again after 2 years to check out their new complete makeup line. Can't believe last time I got my makeup done at the Dior makeup counter, it was back in 2019!

You could tell the exact moment when Judy was feeling it... (after the pink rose blush) cuz she started her cute little head flicks/tilts with the camera! (She calls it self obsession lol). OMG Judy I love you girl! LOL

She looks fantastic! It's interesting that all these high-end makeup establishment's go for a really basic, understated, minimalist look. I wonder if they think that's what best suits her, if they're playing it safe or if that's just what's fashionable? She does look great with a more natural look.

👏👏👏👏 Well done for raising the cruelty issue! Some makeup brands very deviously have their animal testing undertaken by a seperate organisation so they can falsely use the 'cruelty free' logo. I'd guess that's what Dior does and hence the discrepancy. Also, China requires products to be tested in animals before a brand can sell there so consequently any makeup sold in China is tested on animals. I'd give Dior a miss...they're certainly not worth torturing animals for. Nothing's more important than discouraging cruelty and animal testing.🥺

I know a few women most are over 50 that won’t touch a concealer and have “foundation concealers” …they dry down/set better and don’t crease and gather in lines.
Regarding the cruelty free policy: On the website, they say that they do not test any *products* on animals. However, when it comes to the *ingredients* of these products, they might still be testing them on animals. I am not sure that they do, I just know that many brands like to use this phrasing to make it seem like they're cruelty free when in fact they're not

So true because a “product” is what comes from the sum of ingredients. It is what is finally produced. These companies are really slick with their wording
@thewizard555
Жыл бұрын
but who do you want them to test on ? HUMANS? Like animals are EATEN all over the world for no reason, no one is banning that but if company is using animals to test which is important before giving it for human usage ,then people are againt that calling it animal cruelty as if eating beef ,pork ,etc isnt ? and if that product is good on human so it must not be hurting on animals that have been used for testing it , so in those cases how is animal torture ?
@mala3isity

The spin doctors can turn a phrase can't they? Companies that take the cheap way out on testing makes me angry, especially when they make and spend millions. Animal testing has proven unreliable and considered outdated in the scientific world. Just switch to cell-based testing and get it over with.

elina singh i hope you aren’t being serious, killing animals to eat them (humans NEED to eat to survive) is not on the same level as testing animals with harsh chemicals and torturing them. it is 2022, science has evolved past the need for animal testing, there are other methods to test products.

Good that you research your brands! Unfortunately; the term cruelty free is more a selling point compared to the actual truth. Companies that claim to be cruelty free are indeed themselves cruelty free but use components that were previously tested on animals by other companies (required by law in many countries). The patent on these formulas or components has expired and other companies can freely use the components and do not have the same obligation as the companies who used these components for the first time. Definition of Cruelty Free; "Cruelty free means that a brand doesn’t test their products or ingredients on animals at any stage of production. The cruelty free definition implies that the brand didn’t kill or harm animals to test its products anywhere in the world." "Some brands use this term to talk about their finished product. Even if they don’t test the final product on animals, they do test ingredients. As a result, their cruelty free label is not completely true! Some brands say that their products are “cruelty free” because they don’t conduct animal testing in their own facilities. That said, most companies rely on raw material suppliers or contract laboratories to do animal testing, according to the FDA. Although some brands state that they’re against animal testing, they still choose to do it if it’s required by law. The brand has a cruelty free certification by a third party. Even though it isn’t a legal regulation, it’s a certification by a trustful organization that the brand doesn’t conduct animal testing." Source; myethicalchoice.com/en/journal/animal-welfare/cruelty-frees-definition/ Hope this helps :)

100% this. Also, if a company isn’t vegan then they’re automatically NOT cruelty free regardless of animal testing practices. If you care about animals being hurt enough to avoid animal testing, it only makes sense to avoid even worse cruelty that occurs outside of testing (ie: in the slaughterhouses). Marketing has done a phenomenal job of hiding something so obvious that many people never connect the dots. Don’t be fooled, use common sense and look past the marketing labels!

If a cosmetics company sell products in China (Dior do) then they not only have to consent, but also pay, to have the products tested on animals. Its a legal requirement in China. They are also owned by LVMH who test on animals, either directly or indirectly through a third party (sometimes its not the end product but the active ingredients - companies are extremely good at marketing an skirting the truth). Very few cosmetic companies are truly cruelty free. Profits first. One thing i noticed in this video was that she used products directly onto your face from the container.

I love the new look. Beautiful and not overdone. It compliments you.
I literally got my first "professional" make-up by a local make up artist yesterday, because in 1 month I will be wed, so this was a pre bridal make-up session. It lasted about 30 minutes and I was thinking sooo much about you and how much I learned about make up because of your videos, and I knew after the first 3 minutes that I'm not in professional hands. No prepping the skin, no taking notes what my facial features were, just an average stage make up, not covering my blemishes and acne scars at all, not placeing the blush on the apples and absolutely no contour. When I left I was soooo sad. I didn't feel beautiful at all, I felt like I'm going to a bellydance night (wich would be right, cause I does perform some times, but I didn't ask for a stage make up).

I think the first look was beautiful and more of an evening look. This look is a wonderful daytime look. I don't trust "cruelty free" from the big manufacturers. That is not anything you can help and you do what you can.
Love your videos! Dior isn't cruelty-free unfortunately. Some say they are when they are not. Most of the luxury brands aren't. If a brand sks in stores in mainland China, excluding Taiwan and Hong Kong, last I knew, the law there says the products are subject to testing if the government desires. If a company only sells online, they don't need to agree to the testing requirement. I'd suggest looking on Logical Harmony and Cruelty-free Kitty, for example, about lists of companies that test, don't or are in the grey area.
