We just bought this one this year as well, we did the whole research thing and I seriously wish I knew about it before I bought a carrier carseat! Because this is like the best seat EVER! totally worth every penny and it is fairly easy to install. I also find that each time I see an ad or video I watch and always learn something new. So many great features it offers like I feel so safe with my baby being in it as well!

Laura, do you feel removing the seat covers to wash them to be hard? Or is removal and replacement simple?

Can you still use the angle adjuster to save space since there is a rebound bar?

So when going three across, how does a child in the shoulder strap booster click in if there’s another car seat against it? For instance my back row would be a shoulder strap booster, harness booster, and another shoulder strap booster

Second this except, how did you even get the cover off? I still have been unable to get the cover off no matter how many times I look at the manual. Compared to the RXT it is horrible getting the cover off.

is it just me, or is it impossible to “click” in the cup holder onto the 3qxt?

Does this still need the wedge to make it sit up more in rear facing? My only complaint about the Diono we have.

I’m glad they updated the headrest, I like the ARB, and Diono remains a solid option for parents who need 3 across. But keep in mind this car seat will NOT actually last any kid to 120lbs as a booster - they will outgrow it by height waaaay before 120lbs. Many kids outgrow the entire seat by height before reaching the 65lb harness weight limit, so they can never actually use it as a booster. Diono seats also have a lot of specific, tiny rules that can be tough to keep track of, but impact the safety of the seat if not followed. They can be tough to install too. Because of these issues I don’t regularly recommend Diono seats to families I work with as a CPST, except for tight 3 across situations.

S F What about the Britax One4Life? I have a small 4.5yo girl (33lbs) still rear facing in her RXT but it’s coming up to expiry with harness (it was her sisters and she moved into a Diono booster!). I love Diono but installation is difficult for grandparents. If I get the GWY I have to forward face plus I have 3 across and it looks quite wide at the top - are you familiar with this seat?

@@MissAE101 I too am stuck between the britax one4life and the diono 3qxt. Which one did you choose? My 3.5 yr old is 30 pounds and 38.5 inches tall and still rear facing in her britax advocate which will soon become her little brothers car seat. So she will need a replacement.

what is the difference between 3qxt and 3qx?

How difficult/easy is it to retread the harness? I have kids who are pretty close in age, and sometimes they do switch seats. With my other seat that has a no-rethread harness, it's easy to adjust without reinstalling the sat.

How much does this car seat weigh? We have a RXT which I know is 25lbs and a clek foonf which I believe is 35lbs just curious if this one weighs more then the rxt thanks! :-)

It's stuck and now I don't have a way to get it off/back on to even drive my son anywhere. Any tips or something ("simple") I might be missing?

Spent 2 hours earlier today (while my toddler napped), and now 3 hours tonight - TRYING to remove it from behind the head harness. Do you think this is a great fit for a 2 yr old. We mostly use uber because we dont have a car and he outgrew his infant car seat and rn im watching your reviews. It’s hard to decide. Is this easy transfer?

I would not get this as an extra seat meant only for traveling, it’s really heavy. But if you get it for everyday use, you could definitely travel with it, especially with a car seat cart to wheel it through the airport.

I’m stuck between the two aswell! I think I’ll go with the diono since it can forward face with the harness until 57 inches tall while the britax one4life maxes out at 49 inches. Wanna keep them in that 5 point harness for as long as possible!

Can you please tell us why is this not on your top list for 2020? What about it didn't allow it to make it up there?

This is pretty much the only thing (not from Diono) that I can find for this seat! It's frustrating. I need to find somewhere near me that carries this specific model (and Diono in general). I think we'll probably go with the Clek Foonf with infant insert, but I want to try them all!!

Move your head much ?

I don't see how this carseat could be used for a newborn. You're not going to be lugging that thing in and out of the car (ie. Bringing it into the hospital to take newborn home).
