That's a freaking beast!! Great job on playing it out without overtiring it. Really great to see the sawfish making a comeback - hopefully you don't lose many more over there to the toxins or whatever has been killing them off recently. We used to have a lot of sawfish over here on the Texas coast but they totally disappeared years ago due to a combination of over-fishing and lots of them killed in drag nets. The last one caught here was back in 1984 in a Parks and Wildlife sampling net.

Never ever saw one on the water, an I grew up on Jupiter inlet, an we used to go out all the time. Thx for the vid.

Seen four in my life I catch one about 12 ft my friend catch one and catch two in the bay years ago on shrimp boat yes we got them out of net and they stayed alive yours makes five good job you got a dinosaur
