Draymond is talking about wanting to see a therapist but what he doesn't know is he's already speaking to one cos that convo in itself was a healing session and this kinda reminds me of that passage in the bible that says 'confess your burdens to each other that you may be healed`. Big ups to DeMar and Draymond 👏

Just want to throw this in here, but this podcast was recorded (presumably) before the 23/24 season started, or very early into the season. Since this, Dray started therapy this season during his suspension and has talked about how helpful and insightful it's been for him.

Demar Debo DeRozan is a SOLID DUDE. As a Canadian and a Raptors fan he was my 2nd favorite Raptor but after listening to him being vulnerable and open about his mental health and therapy, he's became my number 1 Raptor ALL TIME.

As a fellow Canadian and also a raptors fan I've been saying this, he's the GROAT for me because after CB4 left HE manufactured winking on Toronto, he had to work like crazy on himself to make that happen, and only after he did that Toronto started winning a little and people decided to give it a chance Kyle is seen as the best just because he stayed, and why did he stay? Cuz the spurs didn't want him. I love Kyle don't get me wrong but Demar man! Thank you for everything👊🏿 I know we'll meet someday and I'll be able to tell you that face to face.

I did not know much about Demar as a person until I saw him on Draymond's podcast and really liked what I heard. What an inspirational dude. As a sixty four year old white dude from the Bay Area my circumstances growing up might have been different but my love of basketball was a language all to itself that helped me meet so many people. My role models on the court were first Kurt Rambis and second Dennis Rodman as I had a passion for setting picks and blocking out amongst other attributes. It's the little things that don't hit a box score that bring victories and both of you get it. In this Tik Tok era people tend to judge people on their best and worst moments in life when in reality there is so much in between that truly defines you as a person. I remember times on the court where I got so pissed off about being undercut that I picked a dude up and pinned him against the wall and told him next time would be his last time. If that was the only moment you ever saw of my life you might thing I am crazy. People that haven't participated in a competitive game don't realize what passion can bring out in a man or woman.

DeMar, this is such a great idea. The dinner table is underated in our society, but it's something that can greatly benefit us. It gives space to talk, be heard, communicate, and be seen. I am a huge warriors fan. Considering that this was filmed in 2022 and seeing everything that happened with Draymond and the warriors in the 2023 season, I wonder if things would’ve been different for him if he had went to therapy. It is great to see that he was actually considering it back then. Also it’s so refreshing to see professional athletes addressing mental health and not pretending like they are immune to life’s problems. It’s good for our youth to see that it’s okay to not be okay and it’s okay to seek help to better yourself and deal with your problems. I loved watching this and can’t wait until the other episodes come out!
