Hearing Taerae’s growth as a main vocalist in just a short amount of time is crazy to me because he was already fantastic to start with but he keeps on improving on himself! Crazy to think that a lot of groups out right now (no shade) are lacking vocal growth in their careers when this used to be a norm in K-Pop. I’m so happy ZB1 is bringing back a lot of the things the older generations used to provide! Such a breath of fresh air in the current generation of sub vocalists and main dancers.

I am clear that Gunwook is self-taught, that none of the companies have given him singing lessons, but his natural talent has taken him very far vocally, since in fact he had focused on rap in the past, but W1 insists on not leaving him rapping and not letting him sing, he's only just now been allowed to sing and he just shines. With the little freedom and possibilities he has, he stands out when he is presented with a small and fleeting opportunity. If they gave him guidelines, he would go very far, because the way I see it, Gunwook has dug a huge hole without a shovel, imagine if you gave him one

Gunwook and Taerae did it in one take, hence the mistakes with lyrics being kept in, because they also had to film something else that day. I'm curious how much better they could have done if they didn't feel so rushed and didn't put pressure on themselves to do it in one take so that they could leave quickly. Regardless, they did so well, and I can hear how much they've both improved even since their fancon in Japan. Gunwook, in particular, sound so much better with his high notes here than he did in their I Love cover. Granted, the note in that cover is so long. I cannot wait to hear their ballad Hello on the new album with all of heir improved vocals.

personally, i thought his high note in the i love cover was a lot better supported on both days one and three of the japanese ancon (the days that weren't livestreamed 🥲) than day 2 (the one that was livestreamed) and, at least what i can tell from some of the fan-recorded clips, i feel like his high notes on those 2 days were both better supported than this dingo performance?

Though I am his fan, Doyoung surprises me with every comeback. His live singing gets stronger every time.

honestly i started seeing some of Taerae’s bad habits while singing after i watched your earlier ZB1 reactions, so seeing his fast growth as a vocalist is CRAZYY god he’s gonna be so freaking powerful in just a few years

I'm really proud of Gunwook's growth with his voice. I thought he was going to be a rapper based on what I saw in BP. He's still got work to do, of course, but I believe he's come quite far already. I'm looking forward to his future. Edit: and Taerae has always had it.

I know Gunwook isn't a perfect vocalist but I'm just SOOOOOO impressed with his development over time and his skills as an all rounder. I know he said the range and tempo and amount of songs pushed him this day. He was exhausted after according to his little fan chat thing. Considering how few lines he get it was nice to see what he is capable of and get a feel for how much potential he has.

gunwook has SO much potential as a singer and it makes me happy to see his growth since boys planet. like you said, once he gets rid of that tension, I can’t imagine how much more control and tonal quality he could get with such an already beautiful voice 25:50 👏👏

i loooooved this video, both doyoung and zb1. it was fun to see taerae get more relaxed throughout the entire thing. it felt like once he got to and i, he was just feeling it, such a cutie and a joy to listen to.

Taerae saw your vids and got to work lololol 😂 but no his improvement is great! I watched Gunwook on his previous survival show and I think he was about 15 so notes in his higher register were easier for him, I think he’s still going with the approach he used back then which should definitely be worked on as he’s growing older but his voice is so lovely and his potential is so great thanks for reacting and your commentary ❤

You have a point, as Gunwook underwent a voice change due to growing up and in my opinion, it took him time to adapt to his new voice and vocal range. I think for him it was like starting from scratch, but he really has so much potential that has not been explored, because he naturally has this performance, imagine if he received the right guidance and the right vocal training

He is still in adolescence and has the last stage left to fully define his voice. That is why we were able to observe the typical voice breaks that teenagers have during their change, we even saw the entire metamorphosis of their body from Wild Idol to the present. I'm proud of him

I think there’s the skill and there’s also the preference, Taerae is definitely very skillful in singing but I prefer Gunwook’s singing voice more

Also fun fact idk if you know but when people go on dingo for rising voices or for killing voice, only the artists can hear the music. All of the production crew only hear their raw voices acapella and that’s why they only lowkey invite real singers 😭🫣
