Met a retired "wise" guy in Puerto Rico on vacation once. The hotel threw a Super Bowl party for its guests. He was holding court at a table near us surrounded by gorgeous young woman. Treated me and my friends with the utmost charm and graciousness. Treated us to a night out at his hotel resort a few blocks down the boulevard. Said to use his name in San Juan if we needed anything. He was part owner of the resort we stayed at. We wondered later why he took a shine to us. I think he overheard us talking about the Super Bowl. We were having a highly spirted conversion about the teams. There were very few people from the states at the party. In fact there was more food and drinks than people. I didn't expect the Super Bowl would be a big deal in Puerto Rico. He send for us to come over to his area. I think we reminded him of home since I used live in New Jersey and my friends grew up in Philly. Most interesting guy and low key the scariest guy I ever met in my life based on his stories.

Now I know why they don't speak! I wouldn't speak to Carolyn either 😞

That episode of My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding (where Dina & Tommy got married) was so epic!!!!
