Very important to maintain songs, prayers, language, history and culture of our tribe for today's future generations. It's ego and soul satisfaction to know who you are and how you fit into this world.

Indeed, those things should also be written down. To often I saw that some kids never asked or were interested in their parents heritage, but the next generation (the grandkids) were and while the grandparents already past away the parents couldn't answer the question that their kids had.

Ty ZDraven Yá’át’ééh Never forget the Indian way. There is strength in there wisdom. I grew up in Aztec New Mexico on Navajo lands. I learned about death and life and everything in between. I am Chickasaw I believe the only thing that maters is our past that brings us into the future. So many have lost there way with no hope. If you stay on the path travel will not be hard to get off the path then life becomes a struggle. I remember watching a women making a rug. She had so many colors in it. I was amazed at the beautiful rug. She laughed and said it's not too good. I couldn't believe what she said. But I learned so much from her Hágooshį́į́ Peace.

@@Gishi_05 Spaniards saw the Diné knives in their handmade leather holster like bags or man purses. So actually we're the knife people to them. Pueblos say that Navajo in their language means thieves. That's untrue. We even learned to speak Spanish. The great Ganado Mucho means He Who Won Many Times. Beautiful name...for whatever he won back then. Therefore I like both names Diné or Navajo.

Beautiful song, it is felt in the soul that comes from a very spiritual world and that is understood living its true origin. I descend from the Chancas and Pocras that lived in the ancient Peru South of America and here also there are beautiful dances that express the feelings of each community. Fraternal greetings brothers descendants of the true born of North America. These songs even cure illnesses and disorders that the science of the white man does not understand.Alejandro García.

I was born and raised in Phoenix. I am of the Red House People clan. For me, I see my four sacred mountains as the Bradshaw Mountains (North), Four Peaks (East), South Mountain (South) and White Tanks (West). Recently, I worked at the Intel Ocotillo campus in south Chandler and felt totally disoriented. I had a hard time orienting myself in Building OC2. It dawned on me that South Mountain was in a WNW direction from OC2. I wonder if any other Phoenix-born Navajos see those mountains in the same way.

My great grandmother is the one that stood on stage when Bill Clinton was president and came to Shiprock, New Mexico I was a kid but I do remember the spectacle... My great grandmother Mary walked through portals in those mountains and told us out of this world stories obviously in Navajo my mother interpreted... But for some reason they told me a great deal about the mountains moreover about some of the creatures who come & go through the portals nevertheless just a lot of mystical and unbelievable things as well.🤫 Anyways All she took was a jug of water and her medicine pouch mind you this woman's is about a century years old. And what was amazing is she had no background education but was a symbol of the native American Church that most of my family members are part of like my great-grandmother, my grandma, and my grandpa I'm super proud to be Navajo and come from an extraordinary family of many real life healers. Like I said I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for my family! I believe
