Think about it. One of the duties of Din's creed is to recover beskar from the non-mandalorians. Think about when he made that dude hand over Fett's armor or when he asked to Boba Fett to give the armor back. The armorer just said "you're mandalorian no more" and then let him leave, with his full armor, weapons, a gift for Grogu and the fucking dark saber. She was harsh on him but she didn't remove his Mandalorian status.

Well, considering that Boba Fett became Mandalore in the comics, it’s likely he’ll eventually duel Din for the Darksaber and win, becoming Mandalore. But once season 3 of The Mandalorian comes out, we’ll likely see Din using the Darksaber much more effectively than he has been so far.

I definitely love Boba Fett Mando. he's so serious in the actual Mandalorian series, which works well, but in The Book Of Boba Fett he's unintentionally hilarious because he's basically a side character at this point.

Just like Karl Urban as Dredd. All he had Pascal didn't was a chin and he still nailed it.

The Mandoverse is very good at showing situational humor, and very good at making it subtle as well. The Grogu scenes don't count as most humans instantly find infants and their actions as funny.

He ain't that iconic hero character, we don't want that shit we've got the originals and sich for that, he's the perfect normal person, in his culture, making a living and just keeps getting wrapped up in things lol

Mando invented humor. The scene where he takes off all his weapons before boarding the commercial ship to Tatooine reminds me of when Fili gets searched by the Mirkwood elves and they take out knife after knife from all sorts of places on his body. If Fili is the fantasy porcupine then Mando is the galactic porcupine.

the animated movie sinbad, one of the characters has to remove all his weapons to enter. hes not done before the captian is told to leave and he has a pile of weapons bigger then he is while still pulling. or jim carry's the mask. police start unloading his pockets. you can see this scene on youtube.

Expressions without a face is my favorite character trope.

I like to think of Din as a DND character who has pretty high wisdom and low intelligence. He can make a battle plan and is knowledgeable about most weapons, but when it comes to what goes on around him or major political events, he's completely clueless.

As far as I can tell he put every weapon in the case instead of hiding something. He probably could have gotten away with it, but since he agreed to thise terms it was the honorable thing to do. So, being Djarin, that's what he did. Also his excitement about his new ship was so adorable.

when she said "hey look it's mando", and the droid was "woohoooo..." it makes me think what he is really saying is " oh, great..." in a sarcastic and depressed tone 🤣

This was great! As he was unloading all his weapons for the commercial flight he kept looking at everyone else boarding ahead of him. I imagine him thinking, “Dank farrik! There aren’t going to be any window seats left!”😂😂😂

This episode seems to be a love letter to The Phantom Menace, or at least the N-1 part. He soups up a fighter of the same make and model as the one Anakin used to save Naboo, takes it on a test drive on the Pod Racetrack, and describes the experience as "Wizard".

Seeing as The Phantom Menace and The Mandalorian are probably my two favourite parts of SW, and the N-1 is my favourite starship, yep, that's definitely a lot of why I loved this episode so much.

The "customs" scene was hilarious. I'm surprised none of the YT reactors laughed their asses off. It was so iconic for the Star Wars universe. A mandalorian walked into customs.... also at some point while still removing seemingly endless weaponry from his person, he was slightly panicking if he would be left behind. 2:38. You should include the awkward moments in The Believer episode. There were some funny moments there.

Din is the new Best character in Star Wars, sorry Han!

I just realized the tiny blaster pistol he pulled out is a ww2 liberator pistol. The liberator was a one-shot and reload pistol that was dropped behind german lines for resistance members. The gun has bad range but was cheap and was mean more along the lines of killing an enemy solder with it than taking their gun.

i thought it looked familiar, too, thx for clearing that up!! and btw many weapons are ww2 inspired. there's a lewis gun kinda weapon that was used by some bad guys (empire&bounty hunters i believe), and the main weapon of the rebellion is also inspired by the german stg44 (they look rly similar). also another weapon used by the good guys (clones, this time) was also inspired by the german mg42, it's called the valken. han solo's blaster's also based off of a german mauser pistol& the main imperial weapon is inspired by the british sten.

When he got impatient with that BD unit somewhere in the galaxy Cal Kestis was like "something's wrong I can feel it."

Din must have a sore back from carrying the entire Star Wars franchise and grogu . Seriously I was not impressed by the book of boba fett until he walked on screen.

The flashbacks killed it, it totally ruined the flow. That would have been better and 1 or 2 solid episodes then back to the present. But 20min flashbacks got annoying

Season 1 episode 5 of the book of boba fett, you can feel how depress Din was without Grogu. It was truly heartbreaking

Mando flying next to the little green kid who waved at him on the commercial flight absolutely was my favorite part of the episode. It was so sweet.

Mando has the same energy at 3:45 as when a dad is asking their son to hold the flashlight still, as hes fixing something and starting to get annoyed.

Din has successfully transcended the realm of okay Star Wars characters and has become probably the greatest character ever!! Can't wait for Season 3...whenever that is.

Not going to lie, seeing Mando blaze across the city in the Mad Max edition of an N-1 at max speed, that made me happy. But I do also love seeing an N-1 next to an X-wing, it's like an F-86 Sabre flying formation with an F-15 Eagle

If we're comparing performance, it'd be more like a U-2 or SR-71 next to an F-15. The N-1 could outperform basically everything. It just wasn't particularly sturdy or well-armed.

@@Paveway-chan Well, the X Wing *is* much newer but it's more armed, shielded, equipped and armored. It's a multirole fighter in space. The N1, meanwhile, is two high-performance engines somebody strapped a cockpit to. Essentially a Luxury A-Wing.

I love that his backup blaster is a completely stock Liberator, no starwars add-on modifications or anything.

I’m in a family that loves Star Wars, I haven’t had a huge love for the series so I guess it’s not saying much but he’s my number one. I always love the stories where the entire galaxy doesn’t revolve around the main character. He’s not saving the world or anything he’s just trying to get by. Best character in Star Wars.

It's unbearable to have to wait for season 4. This series is haunting and addictive. The positive values they transmit are incredible. In the starwars sphere , The mandalorians were thought to be mercenaries without values and ties. This series rehabilitates them beyond in imaginable. They are not a race but à credo. Din djarin perfectly this adage.

I will never get over BD-1 making it into this show. I loved Jedi Fallen Order and BD quickly became my favorite droid in all SW. The fact that pretty much only him and the Republic Commandos have made it from game to show just makes me wish even more game content made it into canon shows.
