And he is playing full leg motion which is harder than ankle or hip flexer. He's literally lifting his whole leg with every bass drum hit. It's very Impressive at that speed

@@DissYraiN hellhammer just tapped it. Daray doesn't completely rely on triggers for higher speeds, and uses techniques that are more oldschool. Double bass isn't everything, its not a contest either.

These comments crack me up. This guy may not be listed as an "official" member, but he recorded the last couple albums for DB, and has been the live drummer since 2008. And the dude has played for Vader, Christ Agony, Vesania, Azarath, etc. Dude's been around for awhile now! Also, the fact that he was playing in boots, and Iron Cobras with good beater distance instead of some direct drive pedal with beaters close to the head (Inferno.... 😏) is impressive in this day and age of triggers.

Daray is solid. Every musician has their fit. It's not just about playing parts, but coordination and compatibility with the band as well. Especially touring members

I like how his set is so close and tight, very little movement to maintain stamina for hours of playing without exhausting himself. Awesome form.🧐

I love how relaxed he is. He has outstanding technique...the most amount of impact and effect with the least amount of expended energy.

Check out his band where they have all started. Orion from Behemoth, Daray from Dimmu, Heinrich from Rootwater, Decapitated. Band is Vesania. Their music is a spectacle from another dimension.

This is the best Dimmu Borgir Drum Cover video, that I've ever seen on YT.

I don't know a lot about drumming but this is fun to watch. He just seems so casual. Makes it all look easy.

People who criticize him talk from their ignorance. They don't know this guy. Where's been, what he's done.

Taking whole discography into account...Best metal band of all time.

One thing I've learned about playing drums, weather you're playing single pedal or double bass, wearing boots actually helps a lot because the weight of the boots keep your foot on the pedal more and it really keeps your muscles in shape to be able to play quicker speeds.

Actually I agree. With axis pedals they are so light that I noticed if I wore combat boots when playing it made it easier to hit harder and helped

I've seen Inferno (Behemoth) play in biker boots before on a drum cam video. I was wondering if there's any advantage to that.

Goes to show that a solid drum part goes a long way. Hi touch is very solid, if obviously not as aggressive, but his economy of motion is outstanding. I feel I should say something about the hip flexers and his pedal settings, but I’ll just wait for that reaction video to come out.

Death cult is nice, but after that they went downhill for me... apart from 2/3 songs, Eonian is ourageous... boring as hell, the orchestral arrangements are overpowering and the guitar work is almost non existent. Almost like hearing a darker version of Nightwish... 😪

Geeeeez man, holy shit. Few things to point out... That outfit looks restricting as hell, doesn't affect him. BOOTS??? WTF I can barely play decent in shoes.... Those old school single spring beaters.... I will say his drum tech is on point because look at the rebound on the left pedal.... thing just doesn't stop when he's on the hi-hat. Skillz to pay the billz!!!

Really good stuff, solid and on point the whole way through - Skills! .... with even a passing interest in drums we're watching for the fast dual bass bit which doesn't come off clearly - but it's a really tough ask! Not sure what he was going for? Possible options are triplets, double strokes... just go as quick as you f*ing can, who's gonna notice if it floats away from the beat, haha! - Ah well! - good show!
