He use techniques that doesnt take so much energy and he's not so big which means he can use his energy longer than a bigger dude. Watch he's face, he breathes through he's mouth, most drummers forget to breathe deep through their mouth, some hold their breathes and after a time they breathe heavily like a fat guy in sahara.

Sorry, but it is NOT accurate. It is so fast that it may seem that way. Don't get me wrong, the speed is amazing and sounds clean to a very high degree, but it's pretty much all he's got. As soon as he slows down you hear he can't play slow. But in its genre, pretty damn impressive!

@@flabbergastmau Not true in the case of Nils, he plays traditional slower heavy metal songs just fine & with the required groove. This guy is not all about speed. There are clips where he plays more traditional rock/metal covers too with some cover band.

I was in a festival, in 2007, where this band performed. I didn't know them, and I'm not much into black metal. But they started playing and I went just by the closest point to the drummer and my jaw dropped for an hour.

@Gary White Yup, based on what I’ve heard. I’ve followed Dark Funeral since Caligula left the group. When Nils became the drummer for the group, comments circulated saying that Nils is actually righty playing a left-handed set-up. At first, I wasn’t sure if I believed it. But after years of playing myself, I can imagine a man with 20+ years of playing experience could develop that ability. After all, Dave Lombardo is a lefty who plays a right-handed set-up.

Finally one drummer who uses whole kit. Been dark funeral fan since 94-95 and i know that he aint in DF anymore. Respects from Finland. This is bm machine.

This definitely sets the standard for future drum cams, holy shit! One of the best! (I mean audio wise, the mix is just brutal!) The skill of the drummer is of course absolutely epic!

The fact that this doesn’t have more views or him Not having more recognition is criminal but also fucking amazing.

Still listen to this daily. My coworker were blown away. Told them to look up dark funeral 😂😂😂😂 they think im crazy. Been a dark funeral fan since 1997.

His technical skills are astounding, no question about it. The other astounding thing is how many fantastic musicians have come from Scandinavia period.

Since I discovered this video, I watch at least a portion of it almost daily. I'm not even into this genre or familiar with this band aside from these Dominator drum-cams, but he's truly satisfying to watch.

It's almost too fast to believable, but there it is before very eyes (and ears). A stunning & powerful peformance.

I can’t get enough of this! This is hands down the best drumming I’ve ever seen! Master of the drums! His ride work is amazing!

When I listen this guy playing, I can't stop thinking about all those videos on the youtube with titles like "The best extreme drummer of the world", "The fastest drummer of the world" bla bla bla.... and, after that I remember all the guys that put videos of themselves with lots os cameras e great sound quality on the youtube just to show how good they are HAHAHA. This guy plays faster, better, with lots more imagination and with a superhuman precision... and he don't give a fuck about all that show off shit. You see "extreme METAL drummer's"? This is how all of you should behave...

He’s fast, but you’re stretching it a little bit. Thomas from Meshuggah and his polyrhythms laugh at this shit. Plus in all honesty, this kit sounds like the beginners test kit at guitar center, and his triggered bass pedals are TOO noticeable.

Check out Wanja Gröger of Keep of Kalessin. Is push-pull technique allows him to play incredibly loud blast beats. I think there's only 1 video of him playing live with them, song is called The Divine Land.

I see quite a few of you drooling over 1:54... and it is quite good. But let's be honest here, the drum part that starts @ 1:30 that is followed by the more intense drumming after is one of the best transitions ever.

1:53 and 2:50 this is insanely impressive. Hard as shit to do and he does it perfectly at a crazy tempo, what a monster.

I've watched this video about a million times and I can never get enough.

At times, it looks like the video is being played at 2x speed, but it's just him. He's just that damn fast. He's like part hummingbird.

..and for Dominator it was just ’another gig’.. love it. Hail Dark Funeral!

You can fake speed and some things in computer in post production, but his rolls, style and feeling behind the drum kit in "Cuntcrusher" playthrough is just INSANE

The only recording of him playing fast live he’s play triplets on double bass instead of 16th notes which is what he plays in the recording mans a fraud

@@kingkeltic4228 yes pretty sad actually, he did indeed play the parts on Elysian Grandeval Galeriarch but just punched in ALOT, and to be fair Francesco Paoli from Fleshgod admitted to using the same punch in method when in studio and many people including myself still consider him a titan of death metal drumming. Aaron WAS fast sure, but he also embraced drum programming in ways that most consider cheating. To each his own, I personally dont care as long as the end result melts my face off.
