Nice, thanks for that. First time I heard them must have been around 2002 in our fav metal club. It was Mourning Palace. While I was mainly into Thrash and a bit Goth-Metal and such at the time, that song hit me right in the feels. Tried some other BM bands, but Dimmu Borgir are the ones that are still sticking with me. Love ALL their albums, without any exception. Safe to say I´m a Dimmu Borgir fan, not a BM head :)

This is the best footage of that time - and Album Enthrone , which I think is vocally and as a whole their most fierce peice of work ever. Death cult armm and En Sorti are bad ass...but Enthrone Darkness Triumphant is raw and uncompromising diabolical evil black metal

There are two classic lineups in my book and this is the first; Shagrath, Silenoz, Tjodalv, Astennu, Nagash, Mustis. Second is of course Shagrath, Silenoz, Galder, Vortex, Barker, Mustis.

the real guitar amps are backstage and have a microphone in front of them and their sound goes to the PA and to the monitor speakers on stage guitar pedals are backstage too controlled by the guitar tech ive never heard of this band, this is the first video i see of them so maybe im wrong with my answer, i dont know anything of their tech stuff and gear

Just finished as head audio at a 17,000 seat venue after 30 years, and the very distinct lack of gear points to a certain amount of backing tracks and playback. If you watch the performance of the same band a decade later, there is a plethora of band gear etc. I think the band was mainly the singer, due to creative differences in fighting or whatever, the concert promotion probably dangled money in front of the guy, and he jumped on it. Sure, I could be wrong, but it sure looks rather strange to have zero gear on stage, except a drum kit. There's more makeup than gear?

The outfits were forever like 5 years late, great band but corny af stage presence, to think Chuck walked out soon after in Jeans, a Black top, no effects and still was 10 times more terrifying making them look like absolute posers.
