I have not done a Demensions kit with the floss on those little strips. I'm glad you recommended putting the threads on something else. I got my kit yesterday and promptly stepped on the long strands of threads when I opened the kit. I can't wait to get started tomorrow.

Well girl I had to order the kit for myself! I swore I would never stitch another Paula Vaughn , Leisure arts or Dimension kit after only stitching those for so many years! Probably because it was about all we could readily get! Long time ago 70’s and 80’s! I’ll join when it arrives you talked me into it😊blessings

I am working on Maggie the Messmaker. It’s an unbelievable amount of full stitching. This may be a petite kit but this will be full stitching. I would love ❤️ to see your progress. When I stitch these kits. I blow up the directions. Very helpful. I also pull the threads and make my own thread drops marking the thread color. Bigger kits I put them on floss cards marking the number. I am not sure if they put the corresponding DMC number ? I also edge the margin with a zig zag stitch. I feel that these kits are skimpy on the fabric and I like more fabric. I always do my speciality stitches along with. If I had to go back. I am not sure I would get all the steps. Now putting the time into the project I would leave it up all year long . Great idea about adding beads

I am a novice but got 5 dimensions kits at a crafts sale last year for $6 each. One was this but the others are huge, so I think I should tackle this small one first. I look forward to tackling this.

I’ve had this kit in my stash for a long time so this would be the perfect time to start. Dimensions is also about to release a 3rd design in this series called the Little Gift Shop so I’d like to eventually have them all hanging on my wall!

I have the Toy Shop in my stash, so I might follow along, but stitch that one instead. It will be my first Dimensions kit!

My kit is due to arrive February 4. Anxious to start.

I may pick up a WIP and join you. I love Dimensions kits. I actually do recommend a center start. There is barely enough fabric for the border on their kits. They definitely don’t give you any extra fabric!

I own this kit and should start along with you. I’ve seen the design stitched and framed. It’s gorgeous. The French knot snowflakes give a beautiful 3d look to the design.

It would be helpful if when you are discussing the different specialty stitches you would show a closer picture of what the lines and placements symbols look like on the chart. As you explain the pattern, symbols and stitches, the paper pattern is too far away to really get a good look at what you are talking about. I have no trouble knowing what you are talking about, but I have cross stitched for over 50 years, someone just starting out might need a little more 'show and tell'. I know there are some considerations that have to be made for paid for patterns, but it seems there must be a way to show what you are talking about that would be acceptable, I love Dimensions Cross Stitch Patterns also, I have done many. Mainly since the late 1980s I have been doing full cover Christmas Cross Stitch Stockings for everyone in my family, So far I have made stockings for all 4 of my Children and all 4 of their spouses, my 10 Grandchildren, 1 for my Great-Granddaughter, with 3 other Great-Grand children's stockings in the planning stages, 2 of my Grandchildren's spouses, with 1 more planned, one for my nephew, I have done other Dimensions Kits, but no matter what else I have in the works, I always have a Christmas Stocking WIP.

I have both the coffee shop and toy shop kits in my Amazon wishlist! I might just order them and join in!

I am all in! As I commented on your previous flosstube, I already had this kit in my stash. You’ve given me reason to start it now. Thank you for going into detail with the unpacking. I’ve been stitching on kits for years and just winged it each time. I still have a Dimensions Gold Petite WIP from 2007 that’s nearly finished. The thread pieces are still in baggies and the kit is still in the original ziploc. You can say I’ve come a long way. Can’t wait until Feb 2nd!
