Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. It's not the Ave Maria you may know. Did you know that there are more than 100 versions of the Ave Maria? Now there is one more. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. Truly, a prayer for the world. “Ave Maria” is a variation adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note. At the end, the advanced vocal technique: “Messa Di Voce “ (from Italian Bel Canto technique) at the last note sustained 15 seconds on the note C6 . Swell, increase and decrease the volume but don’t change the pitch, it is extremely difficult and only pro vocalists with years of training can do it. Singing on whistle and super head voice with SOFT SOUND IS SO HARD TO DO, harder than loud whistle note!

Dimash was not a Competitor here. This was one of three - completely different - Songs he Premiered here at the New Wave Competition, where he was the Headline Act and also a Guest Judge. The other two were; 'Stranger', and 'Fly Away'. # Note; Most Reactors find they can get around the Copyright strikes by a) using a filter of some type. { this one is doing the job. Almost everyone gets the name of this song wrong. It is pronounced ( Ah-Vay ) Maria. I hate that you had so much trouble uploading your videos of Dimash. I do really like your comments and reactions. I've seen others use blurred screens, bubbles, and lines across the videos to get them thru, but this screen you've used is great. I'm waiting on my grandson to show me how to send a link, and I will send Dimash videos your way. Have you watched the videos when Dimash was on The Singer 2017? He does The Show Must Go On, All By Myself, Adagio, and one that Dimash wrote when he was 19 yrs. old, Unforgettable Day. Thank you for keeping your channel clean. That makes me doubt about the "true reactions" to a singer when a reactor says he/she is awesome (and does more than 1 reaction) but still doesn't subscribe to his/her YT channel...
