Dimash spent time in Los Angeles last year working with Walter Afanasieff (Baby Love) and met with David Foster, but nothing has come of that to date. What can they do with him? Completely wrong approach. The reason why he doesn't have a producer is because he wants to decide for himself what he does. He is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. And he is already penomenal. He has many incredibly great music videos. The most of them are like mini-movies. And with that one he surprised us fans. Again. There he showed us a completely different side of himself. Not only is he a great (in my opinion the greatest) singer, but also an incredibly talented actor. He made a very convincing vampire. I love that. I love that genre a lot. I was so curious about this video and I think with that he has set the bar very high for his future music videos. What a great song. A wide range again. Many of the reactors don’t realize it because it's not this obvious. Excellent riffs and runs. A really great guitar solo. I think he had a lot of fun playing the seducer. It is now one of my favorite music videos. The funny thing is that I said this in his other MVs too😅 What a great and intense video. OMG. His eyes. His gaze. He got us. Dimash is a brilliant composer as well as vocalist, as you said. He does not use auto-tune, and sounds the same, or even better, live. Michael Jackson influences a lot of his music; he’s a huge fan. You might enjoy the official MV for “Be With Me.” It’s a more American style pop/r&b song, but with Dimash’s own style and flair. He can’t be put in a genre-box though; every song is its own unique thing!

Make no mistake, Dimash produces every one of his songs (designs the vocal structure and how he sings each note). The music arrangement in this song is a collaboration with Dmytro Gordon, who has collaborated with Walter Afanasieff, and Dimash. The author of the lyrics is Candace Kelly. Dimash worked with Dmytro and Candace while he was in Los Angeles last year to work with Nathan Wang a soundtrack composer. Nathan is working on a new Jackie Chan movie soundtrack (I believe it might be The Myth #2 sequel to The Myth 2005 movie but no way to tell yet). Dimash had been in California attending film school as part of the curriculum for his PhD in music composition. The man is not just the greatest singer in the world... he's GOING to be a movie star.

Well to prove it’s not auto tune, you need to hear him sing where his low range is emphasized, with the song Olympico, by Igor Krutoy, written with Dimash in mind.

Dimash composed the song, had his words put into English lyrics and was the music producer. He also came up with the idea for the video as he does with all of his videos in the past few years, and he worked closely with the director to make sure that his vision was perfectly executed. He is able to sing and style, and genre of music from rap to opera and can sing in any language, 15 so far but in an interview he said any language. He has been studying music since the age of 5, and began performing the same year. He became professional at 16 and is presently working towards finishing his PhD. He has absolute pitch, is a master of composition finishing his degree with the highest score of 100%. Dimash lives and breathes music, he once said "if you cut open my heart, you will find music, if you cut open my brain, there is music" Dimash is music. He comes from a family of musicians and performers, all his friends are musicians so its hardly surprising that music is running strongly through his veins. ❤ Dont wait up to see him sign up with any American music producers, Dimash is a totally independent artist who has his own creative centre and record label, he won't sign with any record companies or producers, he doesn't want anything that will not allow him complete artistic control. Dimash never uses autotune, he doesn't need to. One of the reactors who is also a vocal coach said of the part "Just a man in a man's world" that he creates that sound by 'folding' 3 parts of his vocal chords at the same time, and he was blown away that Dimash could do that. The thing is Dimash has trained his voice for 25 years & still continues to train & rehearse every day & will still see his teachers whenever he gets the chance. He treats his voice like his instrument, which it is, & continues to work on & improve it all the time. He doesn't take it for granted. As for autotune, there have been some who have accused him of it, so somebody did an experiment by trying to autotune his voice next to his original vocals & his original vocals sounded much better than having it autotuned! All of the performances you are reacting to, unless it is an official mv, are live performances & he sounds amazing singing live. Dimash never ever uses Auto-Tune. He does not need it. He is a vocal phenomenon. He would find it to be an insult to use auto tune after all his years of study since the age of 5. He has his Associates, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorin in opera and contemporary music!

Dimash is his own music producer he has had many offers from the states big names he turned them down he does not need anyone. The co producer is his father. his goal is not to be a an American star he has other plans.

He sang this song live in the Hong Kong concert and it sounded pretty much the same so definitely no auto tune used or needed. He wrote this song in Los Angeles while he was working with Walter Afanasieff who composed the Titanic theme song for Celine Dion and also wrote for Mariah Carey. He was seen with a number of people in the music industry during his time in LA including having lunch with David Foster at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge. He's got another song coming soon called Smoke which was written around the same time.

Great reaction, yes, Dimash is most certainly the best voice in the world, I don't think he can turn out a bad song, it's just which one do you like more than another. I also think this is his homage to MJ's Thriller, with maybe some Meatloaf's I Would Do Anything all wrapped in Dimash's style/packaging. SO good! You should check out a female artist by the name of Faouzia, she is Moroccan born, but raised in Canada. Her sound mixes pop with some great Arabic influences. Always go for the stripped versions of her songs, as they are usually her and a piano so you can hear her sound. Starting songs are Tears of Gold; Born Without A Heart; Bad Dreams; You Don't Even Know Me... once you get into those, there's a whole world of hers to discover! ❤❤❤

The rest of this comment is about suggestions for three artists, starting with Dimash ones. I've checked the titles of your (3) Dimash reactions so far, and based a bit on those, but mostly based on this reaction to When I've Got You, I suggest: * His remarkable recent version of Dudarai on CCTV1: kzread.info/dash/bejne/X6GT0dKadpzAms4.html * Olimpico, which was the first song Igor Krutoy ever composed specifically for Dimash. (Igor composed the song Your Love, which you reacted to, and played the piano in that video.) The version of Olimpico on Igor's channel never gets blocked and is imo Dimash's best performance of it, and certainly the one to watch / react to first: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lp-EtZitaJfXl5c.html * Adagio, which was co-created by the amazing Lara Fabian. For the 5th round of the 2017 season of the Chinese singing competition The Singer, Dimash covered Uptown Funk -- and bombed terribly according to the scoring system, which put him last (even though the 500 music lovers in the TV production audience loved it). The upshot was that he had to pick an absolute banger for the 6th round _and_ knock it out of the park, both with the physical show audience and the hundreds of millionss of Chinese watching the show, and the organizers, if he was to win that round -- which he was told was likely the only way he was going to be kept in for the rest of the competition. He would have been concerned that it would dash his hopes of gaining a proper foothold on the international stage. (He was essentially unknown just a few weeks prior, before he sung SOS and instantly became a world wide hit for weeks. What no one knew was whether he was going to be just a one hit wonder.) He had fallen in love with the singer / composer Lara when he was 12. He decided to win or go out in a blaze of glory, wearing clothes that matched the country he loved and lived in, Kazakhstan, and singing his heart out. You have to react to it. Lara called him the next day to introduce herself, and a couple years later co-wrote the song you reacted to, Your Love, with Igor doing most of the music composition and Lara writing the lyrics. ---- While I'm here, here are a couple of suggestions for other artists, both of which will instantly plug you into their respective fiercely supportive and huge vocal KZread fan bases (respectively Renegades and Larafans): * Ren. I daresay you've never heard of the most vital artist alive today. He's been doing his thing for over a decade, but is barely known -- except that that's all begun changing fast over the last year because his combination of genius and hard work and dedication to his craft and luck with life is finally paying off. I suggest you just google his name, go to his channel, select the tab of videos by him, select the latest, and react to that. (Currently Mackay.) Then the video before that. (Halftime.) Then the one before that. (Back on 74 / Message In A Bottle retake). And so on. Also the other acts he's been part of, most notably The Big Push, a busking band. * Lara Fabian, as mentioned in the context of Dimash. I suggest you react to one of _her_ versions of Adagio. I suggest you react to hers and Dimash's separately, and react to Dimash's first. (Note that there are videos out there that purport to be duets between Dimash and Lara but they are misleading. They are independent performances that are edited by some "enterprising" fan to merge them into a so-called "virtual" duet. I don't think they're worth reacting to. That said, Dimash and Lara _did_ sing together, oh so beautifully, in one performance along with a third singer, world respected Soprano Aida Garifullina, in a breathtaking trio singing Ti Amo Cosi, composed by Igor Krutoy, with Igor playing the piano, as usual with his songs. Another fantastic song to react to, perhaps before you react to her Adagio.)

I really enjoyed your commentary and subscribed. Dimash wants to remain independent. I doubt he would work well enough with producers (unless they would share the same vision). I love that he is not afraid to experiment and go off the tangent.

You will really like that one. Have fun. DImash wrote this song, and no, he doesn't need auto-tune. He is very independent. He writes what he wants and sing what he wants. Often with a much bigger message behind the song. He has his own creative center company that produce all his work. He doesn't like to be dictated as to which direction he should go for his music. Unlike most American Pop singers who sings sugary sweet popular songs that has no spirit to get on the top song chart for a few weeks. Dimash has millions of Dears from around the world who love and support his music. Dimash IS Music. Actually, he probably already completed his PhD in musicology, so yes, he is probaly Dr. Dimash now. Totally agreed. Dimash is the BEST vocalist/artist of this planet.
