The best thing about Dimash is he is the NICEST guy in the world. He has no ego. When asked about it in an interview he said his parents taught him to be humble and appreciate his fans, because his fans are the reason he sings. He is also dedicated to always do his best for the audience. There are singers in the world that can do some of the things he does. But there is NO singer that can do everything he does ! The EMOTION, the STAGE PRESENCE. Some singers have a spot in a song where they "rest". Not Dimash, every single note he sings has his heart in it, and you can tell. Try Ogni Pietra, get it from his page. It is the one with the best quality. People love him sooo much because he is so kind. He is amazing. !!

It's not just highest or lowest......it's rather the way he chooses to do them.....any way....any style he wants to do them to fit any song, any mood.....simply said......Dimash is a vocal painter.....a vocal painter with the widest palette of colours who's also the master of vocal layering.....he don't just sing. Great, honest reaction. With Dimash, you think you've seen his whole tool kit and you have him pegged, and then in each new song he surprises you yet again. Gotta re-recommend Marcelito Pomoy's cover of, The Prayer, on Wish. One of the few other artists that can provide Dimash like shock the first time. and Disturbed's original cover of, The Sound of Silence, Video or Live on Conan. They are the ones that came up with the unique arrangement that has been covered so often by others, and personally I find David Draiman's vocals have a passion and power that I find lacking in the other covers. Also AGT and Swedish idol alum Chris Klafford does really beautiful acoustic covers of Imagine, Girls Just Want To Have Fun (Duet) and Ocean Eyes, in his kitchen, (Called the Kitchen Covers). Just pure and elegant singing and lovely guitar work.

I love his fathers reaction of his performance. Especially when he fist bumps the air at the end.

Can you imagine that after the performance he asked twice if he sang well? Look at the version where you can see that afterwards with the encounter with his father. It is linked below. On stage he is in another world and afterwards who doubts who again, because he wants to be as perfect as possible. But that's what makes him so great. No one can warn you. Oh you should have seen the ‘human’ side of Dimash, at the end of the video, he was so thrilled when saw his father (his idol and his mom is his other idol) who gave him a surprise by being in the audience without him knowing it all this time. The father was not able to come initially. He hugged his father and lifted him up to express his happiness. He asked his father if he did well on the stage a couple times (!) to get his father’s affirmation. A great reaction, thank you 🙏

There are a couple of songs in which he hits notes in the 7th octave, and even a song in which he hits a D8.

Opera 2 is such a fun and playful piece. In fairness, the original was sung by Russian singer Vitas and you should probably watch his version for reference. (They both are very talented - I kind of like Dimash a bit more, but it doesn’t negate the talent of the original singer.). Dimash doesn't just sing songs. He's always acting a part. I think of this one as him being a sassy MC and featured singer at a Russian cabaret. I think he hit an F6 on this one.

The lady with the short hair that said, "Wow!" at the end of the video was the one who won the contest...Dimash came in second. He entered the competition an unknown and all of that changed after S.O.S. and Opera 2.

hello. watching your fourth video and i like it, nice job. i'm watched Dimash's videos a thousand times, so may i give you advice? if you want to continue to be surprised then you should watch his performances step by step. you know what i mean? not audition from 2018, after - from 2017, then again from 2018, etc. you should start from chinese "I am Singer" (check list on Dimash's wiki page). couple words about few auditions from there: «The show must go on» - don't make high expectations, because the performance was average. Dimash said he didn't like it; «Uptown funk» - don't expect anything at all, because here he rests and relaxes. just dance with him :) «Daybreak» - he got sick, so if you want to listen "clean" and great version - welcome to Bastau 2017; «Daididau» - please, don't miss this video. if you really like what Dimash does and you want to thank him in some way - watch this. this is part of the history of his country. it's important to him. the other version is also great - Daididau, Bastau 2017; «The diva dance» - after watching this version, you can already move on to the other, much better and more beautiful: Bastau version (yeah, again Bastau :D) after all perfomances on the Singer in 2017 you should watch «Hello» (version from Singer, but 2018) and «Unforgettable Day», Gakku(!). and Dimash has another version "the diva dance" with Li Yugang (Shanghai Spring Festival Gala) - after all of the above you can move on to this audition, watch this and you won't be disappointed ) there are a lot of cool performances and great concerts, but I think that's the way to start. this is the basics, I think. since now you can watch any video with Dimash - Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Samaltau, Sinful Passion (yeah, only now. and for me, Moscow concert version much better). but of course you can choose your way, it's your decision, I tried to help) anyway, good luck with all this and sorry for my bad english, im from russia) have a good day, bye)

Each song has a different spirit and ways of interpreting and perform it. Some songs don't show his vocal range but it still feels like he has touch your most inner being. If you still want to see his vocal range make sure you react to "OGNI PIETRA."

I think you showed the video where at the end they reveal to him his dad hiding in the audience, having flown in from Kazakhstan, but you stopped it right before that happened. It was such a sweet moment when he spotted his dad, almost ran to hug him, and then asked his dad if he sang well! I hope you go back to see if that's on that video.

The gentleman in the shadows was his dad surprising Dimash.

The original Russian version by Vitas was already popular in China, so contrary to the meaning of the lyrics, Dimash decided to surprise the audience with this cheeky version, 3 key changes where Vitas did 1. Afterwards Dimash asked his dad, who came on a surprise visit and was in the audience, twice if he had done well. So enDEARing.

6:25 no no he hasn’t started playing, yet the original actually had that part, 6:34......now he’s playing !!!!!!!😎😁

He didn't know his Dad was in the audience. He found out when the performance was over, right at the end. You can see his face light up. He said if he had known he was there, he wouldn't have been so 'cheeky' during the performance. lol That was his Dad doing the fist-pump at the end.

Yep he's got 7 octaves for now. He had just over 6 when this was filmed in 2017 since has gained nearly an octave so wouldn't be surprised if he continues to grow it a little bit. As impressive as that is it's what he does with that range that blows my mind. The emotion he can convey is absolutely special. That being said I think you should react to the newest video on his channel which is a song called Qaragym AI it's a performance dedicated to the memory of his long time mentor and friend, a former teacher of his that passed from Covid-19 in July and it's in my opinion the most beautiful vocal performance I've ever heard in my life. Now you finally got the question right MissMegan :) “What can’t he do?” Also, you now understand why “Opera2” was the most requested. I wished you have continued that video. His father surprised him by flying to China to support him and he only knew after that performance. Heart touching moments and you will have a glimpse of his personality. 🤗 Anyway, work at you own pace. Having a little break is nice so that you can internalize each songs you have reacted and trust me you will miss him 😍. After I knew Dimash I can appreciate other singers but nothing like him gave me the same feeling anymore about music. Still I would suggest: Screaming ( idol hits) live version- English so you will see his “pop” side. Uhm, just an expectations though his English is still not that perfect but it is cute 🤗♥️♥️ and soo him. Or Diva Dance( fifth element)- sung by an Alien and with the assistance of computer. It is recommended to watch the videos till the end. In this video, his father surprised him and they had a very emotional meeting. Dimash was all alone in China and missed his family very much. Also, he seems to you very confident on stage but off the stage he is a very humble person. He kept asking his father how he performed, he was very concerned about that. The reason people love him so much goes beyond his phenomenal talent, he is a great and sensitive person as well, and you can feel it through his performances. And although he can hit higher notes, he is really not about that. There are many songs in which he doesn't go high at all, and they are among my favorite. Personally, this song is fun, but SOS is the song that I believe that for him (and certainly for me), is the true masterpiece which he performs in all his concerts. This song is just for pure entertainment, he was asked to perform it to demonstrate his range, while SOS has deep emotional, existential meaning and is a much more complex composition musically, vocally, emotionally and in terms of lyrics. The vocal abilities it requires is much more than Opera 2 because the transitions he makes there are much more difficult both in terms of registers, genres and styles of singing. I suggest to react to Samaltau from the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2020 - his true soul can be found in his Kazakh songs.

@@victorhromei3016 Every contestent was there for him that I can agree on. However he was 22 and hade no familey with him at this point. So I think that most have been extra hard for him them beeing so far away and him not knowing the laughuigh and the emotionas of the contest. I'm glad everyone there was there for him esp Tia,Lions and Terry Lin. Terry was like a father for him and he calles him that to! Li Jian called him "Importent nephew". He is verry mutch with his familey at home so I think it took a great deal of emotins not to bee near them at this point.

I like so much your reactions, Megan :) I have so much fun :) It is always great to go on the Dimash journey with someone who is just at the beggining, knowing what Dimash has in store to offer and having the pleasure to see amazement and astonishement on the face along the road. I prefer it when reactors are left in the dark for what's coming. Way to spoil the surprise. That said, without professional training, I doubt anyone has an idea what a that note actually is. So when we joke about the Floor meme "Queen to D6, check mate", his note is more like "game, set, and match" :D

My favourite thing about this performance is watching the faces of the other competitors. It´s so funny and also shows how respectful they are. No one is jealous, they are just enjoying his talent. Regards from Uruguay.
