You need to understand this is not a Celine Dion cover and that is because this is not a Celine Dion song. Celine Dion's version of this song is itself a cover of Eric Carmen's number two hit from 1975 An additional interesting fact is that the verse is based on the second movement of Sergei Rachmaninoff's 1900-1901 Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Opus 18. Therefore any other version is a cover. Please be careful to give credit where credit is due and in this case it does not lie with Celine Dion.

Celine Dion cover????? Not quite! It is quite annoying to see Celine credited for this song when it is actually an Eric Carmen song that he created 22 years before Celine even got around to doing it. Celine's version is a cover version. People in the music industry are incredibly sensitive about credit where credit is due. Carmen would have every right to be offended that someone else is getting the credit for a song whose lyrics he wrote and whose recording of the song gained the highest position it ever attained on the music charts. Sadly, Carmen died recently but at least he doesn't have to go through the disrespect that a title like the title of this video creates after it was his blood, sweat and tears that went into making this song into the pop music standard it has become.
