You're correct. Dimash craves the connection with the audience. He will often address the concert audience and say "We have to trust each other". I believe this is why he has the dedicated followers that he does. He is addictive. That is why one feels that you miss him personally when there aren't concerts. Even if you sit in the back row you feel the connection. It is hard to describe

I’m revisiting some of your earlier videos with Dimash as I seem to have missed some of these. I love both Lara and Dimash’s versions of this song and it is incredible to see the bliss on Igor Krutoy’s face during both of these performances. Loads of fun.

Dimash is a nice singer but Lara's voice is just so pure and smooth to me. Her breathe control is incredible and her voice just draws me in whatever she sings. I would listen to her sing Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

Whole Mlle Zhivago album is incredible. She sang in 4 languages and they made a mini movie out of it. Lara is great actress and she did all the stunts alone. She is also honorary godmother for AICOM -(Académie Internationale de Comédie Musicale) in France that is founded in 2004 by Lara's vocal coach maestro Pierre-Yves Duchesne. She teaches there (when she has time) in a master class vocal tehnique, expression in a song and how to find your own voice. PS You totaly get Lara you two should have a girls night out lol.

I agree. It's possible to have a personal preference (you prefer Dimash, I prefer Lara) without making it into a competition. It's not a matter of who is *better*. They both made the song their own and painted the picture they wanted to paint with their voices. You prefer Dimash, I prefer Lara and we *both* can agree that they were both beautiful.

Lara Fabian gave a really strong performance and did a very great job for being such a role model for Dimash but Dimash is a beast in an Angel's body lol even he impressed us a lot with that F#5 belt.. i mean we all know that Dimash can hit much higher than that but the fact that he can impressed us by his "lower" belt is just amazing..

Dimash played the dual characters too in his other performance of this song. It was sooo amazing, he had this intense gaze that could make you shiver when he 'played' as mr. Hyde .

I agree. Dimash toped them but there is one song which i loved the original more. All by myself by celine dion. By dimash was so nasal. But by celine was something else more powerful

Great show. I think Lara's performance is more psychologically acute, and it is rivetting to see how crazy she can become, just in her facial expression. We see two facets of the same individual ebb and flow in her shifting tones and colours She's older, she's been there, got the tee, and written the words, in a language she is completely familiar with. It's a more organic performance, and more 'real'. Good as he is, Dimash is still learning, and experiencing life, as I am sure he would be the first to acknowledge.

lara fabian is really extraordinary in the interpretation always in the emotion without ever raising the note to epather the public she only serves the text and the music, the talent and the class quite simply.

When I first heard this song, I thought it must be a cover from a musical - I just couldn't place it. Not the Jekyll and Hyde musical, obviously. Nope. Krutoy wrote it for Lara as a stand-alone song, and Lara, I think, supplied the lyrics. Actually I suspect the lyrics came first and inspired Krutoy, but I don't have that information nailed down. The composition is glorious. The choral parts are just sublime, the orchestration, the violins counterpunching, damn but it's good. It's one of Krutoy's best pieces. The artists are both glorious, too. Lara's pure tones, her laid-back vibrato, there's just nothing not to like here. It's also clear that Dimash took inspiration from Lara's interpretation, though he put his own twists on the song. What Dimash has added that most strikes me is he differentiates the two characters more. His Jekyll is, as you say, fragile - more so than Lara's. And his Hyde is more frightening, more commanding. Not to say that Lara's interpretation is inferior! It's a stylistic difference. They're both marvelous. Lara doesn't have as wide a palette of vocal techniques to bring to bear on a performance, but her clear, pure tones, her absolute control over her voice, and her emoting are extraordinary. She's one of the best vocal artists I've ever heard. As for Dimash... well, there's only one Dimash. This combination - Lara supplying lyrics, Igor supplying the score, Dimash performing - didn't work as well in Your Love, I think. That one felt rushed, not ready. It was not terrible; just not as sublime as Mademoiselle Hyde. The score for Your Love doesn't deliver for me. Krutoy can do better, and we have many examples to prove it, including this song. Krutoy is at his best when he supplies a musical motivation for Dimash to do Dimash things. It works in so many of his collaborations with Dimash, but we've seen that exceptions are possible. Thankfully, Mademoiselle Hyde is not one of them. The motivation is there, and Dimash delivers on it. Lara doesn't need those pyrotechnics. She doesn't astonish with her belting range or her breathy fragile tones. Her art is more subtle. She doesn't amaze so much as she satisfies. The emotions are delivered beautifully, the story is told, we feel what she feels. That's high art, too.

Beautifully put - though Lara Fabian still manages to be amazing! The two invest their talents in different ways. Lara is older, and I suspect has been through the emotional wringer more than Master Kudaibergen, and experienced some of the weird shit that goes when things get personal - I'm speculating of course. And she wrote the words, and appears to speak English as a native tongue. Her connection to the words is more organic, whereas Dimash has to learn them from the outside in.

Hi Elizabeth, I LOVED both performances and I LOVED your reaction! I also Love your Blouse...It complements the backdrop of Dimash's stage. It was difficult but I preferred both Lara's voice tone which was rich and full and Dimash's voice tone and high register notes; the melodies were elaborate and of haunting beauty! I believe this was a tie for my vote. Thank You, Elizabeth, for ALL your hard work!! I hope You and Kirk had fun in L.A. (even w/ the smoky haze & poor air quality) and have a Safe trip back to AZ!!! :-)

Dear Elizabeth, Because of you, I have become a huge Dimash fan. My first exposure to him was seeing your reaction to ''Sinful Passion''. I agree with u abt Dimash being an open arm & more inviting in artist. And it amazes me alot coz as a young individual its more normal to act the reverse way right? Bc when ur younger & less experient u tend to be more recluse than olders. It just shows me how much love & passion are inside Dimash. I enjoyed this reaction alot. Tnx for ur time & effort
