Hi! Thank you very much for your video, your comments are well-thought and insightful. Unfortunately, you are very correct with the show sucking hard, and many other Dimash fans will tell you to stay away from the World's Best because of how they treated Dimash. Each and every of his performance was butchered into 1 or 2 minutes so that there is enough time for bombastic statements from judges, which is disrespectful for the performer. In this particular performance, actually Dimash sang first a Kazakh folk song (you can hear its end at the beginning of this video), which explains his typical Kazakh attire and folk musicians he brought specifically for this one song... which was completely cut out and never broadcast to the american audience. And the remark about his attire is also disrespectful to his entire culture. And yes, he was already a big star in Asia... And it gets worse. One of his pre-requisites in order to enter the competition was that he would not compete against children, because it goes against his culture and moral values, and the show assured him he would not have to, so he agreed to join. Participants were not allowed to know who else competes on the show. However in semi-finals, he ran into a kid backstage, and thus knew the show lied to him... He decided to withdraw in order to give way to the kids, so that they could win 1 million and get fame (he withdrew and sang "adagio"). And when he announced he is withdrawing, he got insulted by the judges, it was almost a vocal assault. They said he was "disrespectful", "full of BS", afraid to compete against kids an such, while they were the ones who made him enter after lying to him... I guess they hoped the potential price of 1 million for winning would make him abandon his moral values. This show is an absolute joke and a big, stinking shame. Many people will tell you not to watch it, but I think people should not take others' word for it. If you decide to watch the video (Dimash singing Adagio at the world's best), I suggest you also watch kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioWbpax7nrXchs4.html , where 2 audience members explain what really happened during the show and how disgustingly it has been cut in order to make Dimash appear bad.

Wow that is absolutely shocking, but at the same time expected from these shows. So sad that they have to trick these people in to competing on the show. I will find the Adagio and react to it, and then I will give my 2 cents on the situation. This is just another reason why I do not like these shows.

KZread seems to block The Singer series, but you can get Adagio off of Gloria Wu's channel and she often has backstory of each song.

Lol thank you for your opinion, I value it, I really do. With that being said, if you do not wanna watch it, then don't watch it. Pretty simple. You ask me to respect the artist, but he chose to go on to that show, and he performed his butt off. Are you telling me you do not respect him for being on the show? You saying what you said isn't very respectful to him lol. Either way you are entitled to your opinion and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I have been told about what they did to him and it is disgraceful, but that is expected from these shows. I even said in my video how I feel about these shows. I will still watch his performances and give my opinion on them. I think he deserves to still be praised for the good things he does.

Yeah the show was TERRIBLE but Dimash was the only Bright spot
