You have also to react to the other version of Know, called Know Vocalise from the Arnau tour concert in Kyiv, Ukraine, in March 2020, right before the pandemic hit. That version is probably even more entrancing, just Dimash improvising with his voice without any lyrics, sitting down cross-legged.

I've never thought of this performance as 'vampiric' before. 😅 (More like sultry! ☺️) BUT... I read an article the other day about how bats have 7 octaves, use super deep and super high notes to expand their vocal range, and use vocalizations to communicate, especially to communicate emotion. For example in Düsseldorf in April where I attended he sang it very tormented in hindsight he was finishing one sky and made a speech about War in my opinion especially about the ukraine russia war since a lot of his team is ukraine or Russia🕊.
