Dimash - Ikanaide - Don't Go - Vocal Coach Reaction - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Dimashathon HD

Музыка

In this video, we appreciate the amazing talents and vocal techniques of Dimash Kudaibergen on "Ikanaide" (Don't Go). This is an incredible performance, and we get to see up-close and detail what he is doing!
Dimash - Ikanaide - Don't Go - Vocal Coach Reaction - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy
I have been fortunate enough to have been involved in Japanese culture since the early 80s.
Goro Matsui is a wonderful Japanese poet that has written many many pieces over the last few decades. I was actually surprised that Dimash chose this lyric from Goro. And it made me wonder how he came to know this song since their cultures are fairly far apart.
Goro was the lyricist who wrote his debut lyrics for the album Hot Wind by the popular Japanese duo Chage and Aska. After that he collaborated with such groups as Anzen Chitai, Kyosuke Himuro, Hound Dog and others.
The poet gained the greatest popularity after he began to cooperate with Japanese rock bands. Goro Matsui is the author of more than 2,000 lyrics, one of which is the lyric to the legendary song “Ikanaide” by Koji Tamaki.
I know this may sound cheesy, but I truly think that Dimash sometimes picks music not just for his fans' preferences, but of people that he is honoring, that have gone before him for greatness, in hopes to inspire others to be great.

I also think so. I think he is a very smart young man with a good taste for music and lyrics. Note that there is not a single silly text in his songs, which is very rare today in pop music.

OMG! I feel exactly as you do. I love the lyrics to his songs. That’s one reason why I love to hear him sing. I only wish and hope that other artists would imitate and sing beautiful lyrics in their songs as Dimash does. Unfortunately, the vast majority don’t! The lyrics to his songs I find beautiful and are missing in today’s music. Therefore, I no longer listen to much of any other artists out there.

@@ceceliaoliveira4550 I recommend the song known as Over Hear [The love is not over yet ] if you haven't heard it. This song was never performed by Dimash in concert and there is no official recording of it. The only recording was made during a concert rehearsal in China. Apparently then Dimash didn't know her lyrics well, but the music and the performance are wonderful.

The boy is like a viper to the heart. This is what you get with a child born to a pop singer father and an operatic soprano mother. The mother used the same technics when she quit singing opera to duo with the father. Above all, it is the soul of this man that is his greatest gift.

Your discussion of melismas is very interesting. Having trained in bel canto myself I agree with what you said about the clear notes like little droplets. Dimash did start by being trained in bel canto, but then went on to earn a bachelor’s in jazz and contemporary music. So that’s where he trained in jazz singing. After all, this performance was for the Tokyo Jazz Festival.

His uniqueness also lies in a wide range of 6 octaves, in his ability to smoothly switch from one register to another, in possession of a huge range of vocal techniques and in the ability to convey emotions through singing. As one of the vocal coaches said, a person who owns a whistle notes cannot physiologically have an overtone of a good baritone.

No sky-highs, just Dimash's soft, breathable, sensitive voice that makes his hair stand on end on our body. His singing ability with that voice stunnes me every time. Plus a soft, slow vibrato. I just don't know how he does it, but I've never heard such a beautiful, sensitive and essentially sexy omg 👀 voice 🔥 Hugs from Poland

Dimash was once asked the genre he likes, his response was that he prefers to sing in the crossover style of blending classical, folk ànd traditional music. So he's better known to the Dears as a crossover artist than an opera singer. His repertoire shows this preference as well. There's a telling clip of him singing "I love you to tears" r&b during rehearsal at the vtb arena for yet another insight of his amazing capability. Enjoying the Dimashathon Ken, thank you!.

Ikanaide was composed in 1989 by Japanese singer-songwriter Koji Tamaki, with lyrics written by Goro Matsui. It tells the true story of Yoshiko Yamaguchi, who was born in China in 1920 to Japanese parents and became a celebrated singer and actress under the Chinese name Li Xianglan. When after WWII her Japanese origins became known, she was accused of espionage, tried, and deported to Japan, never to return to China again. The song speaks of the anguish, heartbreak, and final acceptance of this parting as the ones who loved her had no choice but to let her go.

Excelente reacción, me haces sonreír con tu bonito y respetuoso humor de dirigirse a Dimash. Y si parece de otro planeta. Su talento, belleza de voz no lo iguala nadie.

This is my favourite piece of his so far. I love that even his breath becomes a part of the melody.

Amazing singer, no question. Clearly, a young virtuoso-level vocalist But I'll bet there are hundreds, if not thousands of singers listening to this that would love to get the chance to sing a song in that acoustical environment. The mic sensitivity, the quality of the audio is just as amazing.

The DRAMA and sensitivity to a song is internalized then expressed thru him indelibly in his performances. He doesn’t cover another song- he feels and becomes the song! Despite the formal and continuing education in his music degrees, his expression is deeply human rooted yet alien in presentation. Can’t wait to see more of your insightful and enthusiastic videos, Ken!

Magnanimous! His voice is crying out, softly, for understanding, through this song! Beautiful! Stunningly gorgeous communication of the nuances in this song! It's really moving my heart, in the deeper recesses, as well!! He's technically, more than flawless here! Thanks for musically, & culturally enriching my knowledge base, with your superb instruction, Sir Ken! Such a blessing, my friend! Brilliant video! Rock on & peace out!🤘💜🌎

This guy is absolutely astonishing. No one can be THAT amazing. I believe no one in HISTORY comes even close to what he's doing and his ability. Dimash is like the Magnus Carlsen in chess, or Mozart in music, no one comes remotely close!!!
