Russians do not give standing ovations, they give flowers. It has become commonplace to give him flowers and since he cannot generally take them all home with him, he will have them sent to what we call local "nursing homes" and children's hospitals. He was raised with the greatest respect for the elderly and little ones. In Kazakhstan, they have a tradition called "the gifting of a son". The first born son of a couple is given to grandparents to raise. Dimash was the first born son and first born of his parents who traveled as entertainers. As an infant, they presented him to his paternal grandparents. It was not into financial wealth, but he was raised with great wisdom and when he informed them at age 5 that their piano was out of tune, his Mama/grandmother immediately had him enrolled in the best children's school there was. This is where he began his classical studies in both vocal and instrumental training. Many of the young boys and into young men are now on his team of vocalists, and instrumentalists. He has provided not only for his family but also for so many he attended school with. He is kind and compassionate.

Yes, Dimash is not only the best singer in the world, but humble and kind to his fans like no other celebrity we've ever seen. And. no, he was never on 'The Voice' - in fact he is virtually unknown in America (isn't that ridiculous?), but right now he is in Los Angeles meeting with composers like David Foster, etc who will most likely make him a household name. So I'm glad you're on the frontlines of introducing America to Dimash. You're a pretty awesome guy yourself and you're a great example to all the Dears out there what a real American is like (because many people across the world equate Americans with the embarrassing Hollywood types. So thanks for representing US!

Dimash is the unending Swiss Army Knife of vocalists, having every tool at his disposal. Every performance is filled with emotion, he never loses focus in his performances, and yes, he is humble, sweet and kind, never failing to give credit to others. Yes, the best vocalist i the world, maybe the best of all time. So amazing every time!

I love his outfit. He just has class. The next James Bond🥰. 23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. Unbelievable. Btw he didn‘t won the Voice. He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest. The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. If possible, always watch the videos to the end. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible. In this case he thanked the band A-Studio. It’s a Kazakh band who wrote this song. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion, much better 😄. If you like some really great fancam versions then I recommend the one from the Moscow concert: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6yAytmfdqm7gdY.html Or another one from the Arnau concert: kzread.info/dash/bejne/i355zqmBYsvXpdo.html They are all a bit different Please react next to Olimpico from his Arnau concert. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and so commanding😱. There he is such a Beast😳! It’s absolutely stunning. Gasping and racing heart and I’m not even talking about him singing. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯 kzread.info/dash/bejne/lp-EtZitaJfXl5c.html Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

Dimash did not win The Voice in China. When he was 22, he was invited to a singing competition called "The Singer 2017". He was the first foreigner and the youngest to perform in the history of the show. It was originally for professional and established Chinese singers, and Dimash was neither. The other singers were 12-39 yrs. his senior, and they invited him as a dark horse. He won second place. He should have won first place but they knew it had to go to one of their beloved Chinese singers. However, the show launched him into the world, and now he is an international phenom, and loved by everyone. He is a very humble person and said that he is just a guy who only wants to sing. Hopefully, you will watch him on The Singer, singing All BY Myself, Adagio, Unforgettable Day, and Confessa/ Diva Dance. I love your reactions and comments because you are so real and down to earth. Can hardly wait for more of Dimash from you.

Dimash's deep and gentle voice... I melt away. What a wonderful song, wonderfully sung by Dimash. Did you hold your breath? 🤣 The final run was 23 seconds with one breath. 👏👏👏 Dimash sings here as a guest on the New Wave 2018 (international competition). Igor Krutoy, the man in the white shirt at the end, a famous Russian composer, music titan and initiator of the New Wave had invited him. Now, both are a "Dreamteam" and work together from time to time. They are friends, have a father-son-relationship. ... and of course Dimash donates the many flowers to hospitals and retirement homes. The band that Dimash accompanies at this performance called A’Studio, who composed and performed “Sinful Passion” in 1998. The band is also from Kazakhstan (Dimash's homeland) and this Dimash performance has revived the song. *Original: A'STUDIO - Грешная страсть - kzread.info/dash/bejne/dYJtyKqwmNHHj7A.html The glottal - stops is a throat singing technique called "bleating", “goat's trill” or „Trillo caprino/ little goat“ used by the indigenous peoples of the Far East. In Iran called this technique „tahrir“ In 17th-century Italy, 'trillo' referred to the so-called 'Monteverdi trill' or bleat, a tremolo-like repetition of a single pitch. Singing these trills was frowned upon. * Maryam Akhondy - kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXWLuMSloaepgpM.html * Sainkho Namtchylak - kzread.info/dash/bejne/hYelqLWggN3JmLg.html * Diana Ankudinova - kzread.info/dash/bejne/d6GB2rGvZbDaqag.html

He always thanks the other musicians and knows that they help him become great. He chooses (and writes) a lot of songs with meaning behind them. (You will find out more as you go through his videos). As probably mentioned below DIMASH came in 2nd in the Singer competition in China due to cultural pressure/tradition. A younger singer to beat out a senior professional is seen as being crass. And causes the senior "to loose face". So just isn't done. (Because of audience outrage and media turmoil the contest rules were changed.) DIMASH received 6M views overnight because of his 1st performance w S.O.S. Thanks for yr great reactions.

@@TrevandErin 🤩 Hmm. You've only reacted to 4 of his countless great songs/performances. I like puns, and hope you at least appreciate them, when I say I coulda and maybe shoulda twisted your "I'm a fan" into "You're a fawn." Like me; I'm a fawn too. I'll be a Yearling -- that is, reach AD 1, the first anniversary of the day in 2022 that I first encountered him -- on May 22nd this year.) Even 10 months later I keep stumbling into great Dimash songs/performances for the first time. Hmm. That gives me an idea. Why not put the list of (links to) your previous Dimash reactions, in chronological order, in the description of each Dimash reaction you make? (Or maybe as a comment by you asking for suggestions?) It'll just be two cut/pastes per reaction. That will serve many purposes, one of which I would think would be getting more Dears to watch and upvote your earlier reactions, but another key one will be that it makes it easy for Dears to know what to argue over as their suggestion for your next Dimash reaction. (I get that there's playlists and search, but neither show *chronological order* -- and that tells Dears a great deal about what kind of journey you will likely have had. Anyhoo, just a thought.

I love that you appreciate all of his range and you're not just waiting for the high notes like a lot of reactors. He is indeed one of the most humble artists out there, he says in many interviews that he doesn't have the right to put himself above anyone, that he's just doing a job like any teacher or farmer or miner and that if he did become a "star-head" then his parents would very quickly bring him back down to earth. You definitely need to check out some different works of his like his Kazakh folk songs where he goes more rock based and also some of his pop songs to really get a good idea of how versatile he is. There's not many artists who can move across genres as fluidly as he does. I'd recommend Screaming - Idol hits version, Samaltau (either Tokyo Jazz or 2021 Digital Show) and Durdaraz (Almaty concert) which is where you get to hear him rock out but also see how crazy a full scale Dimash concert gets (believe me, it's nothing like you would probably imagine).

For a start I would recommend "Samaltau", Tokyo Jazz Festival, I think from 2020.

Dimash loves children, you will often see him interacting with kids. Here is a link when he arrived at Las Vegas airport last year and met a boy with autism. Dimash received an award from the pope the day before in the same suit that he is wearing here. Respecting people from the pope to children at airports. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ommCm8qJg9WWmLA.html

For those who like information about Dimash's songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash reinvigorated the song (originally this song was sung in two octaves and Dimash takes it to 5 Octaves Vocal range). In addition, he added the final part, with a guttural oriental technique (where he makes a particular sound by rapidly vibrating his voice, and with this voice he looks up and then points his hand down because he was honoring the original singer of whom he was a fan) . The song was originally performed in 1998 and the name of the band is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakh pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The late singer (of whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by poet Ilia Reznik along with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboard player, which we see in Dimash's accompanying video. In this 2018 presentation, Dimash meets the famous Ukrainian-Russian composer, pianist and billionaire Igor Krutoy, who is the man in the white shirt in the first final who stands up to applaud him and who was retired and who returned from retirement because of Dimash, since he was the voice that he had always been waiting for his music, from there began a friendship and collaboration of many more successes with Dimash- Greetings from Panama

A Studio is the band accompanying him in this video and they wrote the song. They are a Kazak band and Dimash wanted to promote them, and this is the result.

All his performances from the chinese 'I am Singer' show are on YT.It's all professional singers on there(so not really like the Voice) and he didn't actually win,as it wasn't really open to foreign singers. That said,I believe he came second and of course became a Star overnight,as you can imagine. And yes,in the show you can see the other 'Contestants' in the Backroom and their faces speak volumes, haha.Maybe check out a performance from the Singer 2017,like 'Adagio' or 'SOS'...Dimash was the youngest performer there(22) and invited as a Wildcard!

The announcer got it wrong. Dimash was not on The Voice; he was on a Chinese show called I Am A Singer. He didn't win. He came in second because the rules at that time were that you had to be Chinese to win. Since that time in 2017 the rules were changed so it allowed for Jesse J to win on the show.
