A superb performance! I’ve noticed a pattern with Dimash: start slow and soft, gradually building, incorporating more and more drama until he bludgeons you at the end with his talent and virtuosity; often in live performances (not competitions) he loves interacting with his “Dears,” which I find endearing ... wonderful reaction!

Soon in Moscow on the anniversary of Igor Krutoy there will be a duet of Dimash and Lara Fabian, but what song will be unknown so far.

Lara Fabian does a fine job of it, too - you'll enjoy her version. Dimash sets himself apart with his use of drama, starting at low energy and building to a climax. Few pop stars will inject so much drama into their interpretations. I think that's sort of sad. Singing is a form of story-telling, and there's nothing better than a story that makes good use of drama. Dimash's performances are memorable in part because of it. The rest is due to his virtuosity as a singer. He's unusually good. I've heard singers match him - or even slightly exceed him - in a particular pitch range and vocal technique, but I've never heard anyone who has mastered so many techniques across such a broad pitch range, or combined them into a single song the way he can do. His performances are adventures.

Lara Fabian actually wrote the lyrics to the song...Dimash did the Version - hers is the original. Both are good, however Lara absolutely Kills it!

@@secrets.295 His baritone and tenor techniques are excellent, too. Males singing high is not exactly a new thing. For example, Freddie Mercuy did it and was much admired for it. But it's okay if you don't like it. Listen to what you like and ignore the rest.

@@Urgelt Freddie doesnt use that girlish tone all the time. Only in certain points when he needed to. I do think Dimash is a good singer. I like his lower register and I prefer for him to go for a deep chest voice rather than his high pitch girlish tone.

Jenn, thank you for getting back to MY LOVE Dimash. This is one of the Igor Krutoy songs that Dimash & Lara has sung & people have been hoping for a duet between them for years. In October Igor is having a 65th birthday concert in New York that Dimash & hopefully Lara is going to attend. IF Lara does that would be a great time for the duet. Igor came out of retirement to help by coming up with new songs for Dimash & the first one is Ogni Pietra but PLEASE react to the version from his Arnau concert as I know you hated the one from the games. Arnau has an official version & a fancam version that shows much more of Dimash than from the games. 🎶👱‍♀️😀💙

Whuttt? You mean Lara don't put her soul in it too? Is that a joke ? Lara always put herself into every performances like nobody else can. I love Dimash, he's by far the best male singer alive, but Lara's original version of Adagio is technically superior, period.

@@marinadewil8959 if he would articulate better i would like it better. Parts of the song are amazing, but for me Lara is the better overall performer. You can listen to her version 20 times in a row, but Dimash you can only take in parts just my opinion tho

This song was only possible because of Lara Fabian. She came at it with a pop perspective but very emotional. Dimash took it (comming from a more classical training with a lot more technique)and kept the emotional aspect of it adding his own flair ( we stand on the shoulders of the giants that came before us).

Ik ben echt hopeloos onder de indruk , ja zelfs over mijn toeren van Dimash maar van dit had hij moeten afblijven. Lara blijft in haar luidste passages nog steeds mooi en rond maar bij hem wordt het "belten" (?) eerder schreeuwerig en zijn Engels heeft een al te zwaar accent. Misschien dat degenen die de versie van Lara niet kennen, het daardoor wel eerder mooi vinden. Er bestaat ergens ook een Arabische versie van dit nummer (dus met veel uitgesponnen versieringen ) die ik dan nog steeds meer zie zitten dan dit.
