Love this movie. the cast and story was so real/grounded. PRIYANKA killed it in this role, as did Shefali Shah and Anil Kapoor, Ranveer and Anushka were great too

Came here with the speed of light!! Amazing choice guys! I saw this movie in the theatre and I remember every character was unique and well written...There is something memorable about every person in the film! Also, in case you didn't notice, Pluto's voiceover is done by Aamir Khan :)

Thanks Achaby!!! This movie is one of my favorite holiday movies and I have rewatched it so many times. And Jaby, the "Do" in Dil Dhadakne Do is pronounced "Though" :) The name just simply means Let the Heart Beat! :) Also, the conversation between Priyanka Chopra's and her mother's character in the spa actually is a juxtaposition of their relationships with their spouses. The Mother (Shefali Shah) knows and has made peace with her husband's (Anil Kapoor's) infidelity, but is sticking to the marriage to maintain the optics. Whereas, Priyanka's character is actually the self-made woman who is being forced by both her mother and mother-in-law to focus on family and have a baby, and shift her attention away from her business. There's a lot more coming! This movie has beautifully complex interpersonal dynamics among the characters. Can't wait to watch the next parts of your reaction. Cheers!!! 🥂☺

At 9:30 ranveer Singh is mouthing "talaak, talaak, talaak" (that is, "divorce, divorce, divorce") in Muslims u can divorce ypur space by declaring "talaak" three times (traditionally). So that is what ranveer Singh is mouthing. He gesturing for his sister to take a divorce.

Back in the day when jaby used to react to Bollywood music videos, I requested them to watch 'Galla Goodiyan'. Which eventually they did, but to the promotional version. They missed out on the original no-cut version of the song! So excited, we finally get to see Jaby and Achara react to the song. I hope Jaby notices that the song is filmed without a cut. 🤞

Yes he is a great actor. I discovered him after watching Mr. and Mrs. Iyer with Konkana Sen Sharma. It was such a good movie to watch

Zoya Akhtar had said after watching Kapoor and Sons in the premiere that dysfunctional families is her favourite genre and it couldn't be clearer in this film What a masterful director this lady is I have just no words

In my opinion Anil Kapoor is one of Bollywood best actor no matter what character or role you gave him, he will nail it. 😃

I love DDD . So glad @jabykoay is reacting to it. He’s seen the whole movie and spliced it into 4 parts so it is obvious he’s confused in the beginning, there are far too many characters like the German show Dark . Manav is not cheating , they’re just hanging like they’re kids of uncles and aunties that have grown up together, it’s normal in india where chivalry isn’t dead yet to offer a jacket to any age group . Jaby still can’t see the age groups which is surprising. Clearly noorie is in her 20s not manav. The problem with the English language is that they don’t have an alphabet to denote ड़ which is close to R with an A sound that when it comes out sounds like it’s passed through the D sound so when they have to write that letter they usually go with D so dhadhake is actually dharakne so you would pronounce it Dil like Pill , Dhadakne since there is no DH sound in English say Duh-ruck-nay and Do as in doh (play doh or doe shaped eyes)

I'm French and at first struggled to understand this letter you're mentioning, the "retroflex R" as it's called in linguistics. I was confused by the R/D ambiguity and descriptions of "making your tongue flap". Now the best way I would explain it to another westerner is that the retroflex R, which is transcribed as either r or d like in ladka/larka, thoda/thora etc is said like a rolled R that you roll in the front of the mouth. A Spanish R is in comparison rolled far back. But this rolled in the front, with your tongue touching the palate and flapping down when doing the roll. But basically I would say to an English speaker just think you want to roll an R but you do it from the front of your mouth. The E at the end of Dhadakne is said like a Spanish E. Or French É. Don't tell an English speaker it's said like "ay" at the end, that's a very different sound. "DHA" can be explained as d'ha. I heard Jaby say these letters correctly several times (in other videos, haven't watched this one yet). English speakers understand the H sound and the push of air. I don't understand why you wrote that Dil is like pill? D and P are completely different. Did you mean till? The normal D sound in Hindi is more dental than in English but it mostly sounds like an English D.
