This was one and the only Comedy Central Level Roast done in India, and the public, the bureaucracy just wasn't ready for it. Kudos to AIB for having the guts to do something like this. Such a great sport these people are(were)!

1) India is not America. 2) They uploaded an 18+ roast on KZread where kids also exist. Hence got banned. They should have uploaded it as a pay per view show so that kids don’t have access to it. Their fault for not having the minimal level of intelligence to think about that. And ofcourse some Indians love it cause they love following America but the roast was extremely low quality since they couldn’t make a single joke that wasn’t sexual. It was repetitive and many times saying the word “fuck” was considered as funny. Low quality as hell.

Stop wearing T-Shirts, watching Netflix, using iPhones, hell.. even surfing on KZread. Pop culture, fashion, social movements, etc. have been driven by America since years. Literally most of the things you do in your day to day life is somewhere related to America. Our constitution is inspired from the US. 2. Try watching Comedy Central roasts. Roast themselves mean Insult comedy. As for the kids thing... They put a warning several times in it. They must have even tagged it not for kids in the KZread settings, and as we all have been kids in our life, we all know how much restrictions help to "Keep the kids Away" from "Mature Content". Here you are watching two Americans laughing at it. It is a success. You are on this channel itself for American's validation for our "Indian" stuff... Why? If you hate it so much, don't watch it. Stop preaching whats right and whats wrong. ✌🏻

@@frosty6395 KZread kids is a place to to prevent your kids watching adult stuff on KZread how is that's creators problem if an irresponsible parent who cannot keep an eye on their childrens This was an charity event of 2 hrs wouldn't be fair of online people to pay and also at that time ott was not that famous in India as KZread were and they had the platform People do abuse in daily life for your information so how it's americanised? I don't understand it's just the difference of language they used more english as their audience in that show understand it easily. I remember the day when it was streamed on KZread and i was in hostel and of friend get in a single room watched it together and laughed our asses out, this was damn good

Boney Kapoor is Arjun Kapoor's father, who was married to Sridevi till her passing... Since Sridevi is South Indian, that's why Karan Johar made that reference by saying 'So basically in Two States, he plays Boney Kapoor'.

Let’s just all agree that Rohan’s part was THE BEST 😂 especially that white cop joke and the Last punch line on Arjun Kapoor😂

Maybe Kiku Sharda once got jailed, but got out quickly and is living his best life. I don't know about any other comedian who went to jail.

Putting it in context, here, a roast is meant to be deragatory and insulting in the first place, some people lack the basic sensibilities to understand what it's meant to be and bombard their hatred on it as they did in case of AIB.

My comment was specifically about Rick & Korbin pointing out how AIB roast was bombarded with hate. A roast is meant to be insulting and derogatory. People watching the roast were also warned of derogatory language and asked not to watch it. Those people still watched it and went on to bombard their hatred on AIB. And what did people hate about AIB ROAST? The derogatory language, they were warned against from the beginning! They were advised not to watch, if they get offended by derogatory language! That's why I'm saying those people DID LACK SENSIBILITY & now I think, they lacked COMMONSENSE too. You know who else lacks COMMONSENSE? People who try to GENERALISE a comment, which was to the contrary, made on a SPECIFIC case! 😂😂😂😂

Again .. you used word "distasteful" .. who defines that ?? ... are "Tastes" of everyone in world same ?? .. you constantly use the word "sensibility" which comes from "senses" ?? All of which are SUBJECTIVE for every individual ... type of food, visuals, humour, music, etc which are very appealing for some and extremely gross or irritating or offensive for others. The overall opinion is decided by preference of "majority of heard voices".

Okay so the jokes were really good for a roast but they became very repeated after a point and even Tanmay Bhatt himself admitted that he would change or enhance few jokes if he could. But the problem is that the Intolerant public got so offended they never gave them the second chance. We all make mistakes and this roast was no way perfect or without flaws but that's what happens when you try something new for the first time. They can only improve themselves if they're given constructive criticism instead of banning them from everywhere or launching FIRs at them.

Finally the one I’ve been waiting for.

Boney Kapoor is a big Bollywood and South Indian film producer, investor and businessman. He is Arjun Kapoor's father(and the brother of Anil and Sanjay Kapoor). Boney Kapoor left Arjun's mother and went on to marry the late Sri Devi (she's south Indian) a legendary Bollywood actor, she was one of the most beautiful actresses of her time. And in 2 States Arjun plays a north Indian that fell for and married a hot south Indian....just like his pops did in real life. The joke hit really deep considering many in the audience knew about the debacle Boney's move caused. Exact Info's not known but allegedly there was a spat between him and Anil prior and after his marriage to the actress. Arjun's mother was not divorced yet when Boney Kapoor married Sri Devi. She still uses the Kapoor surname as a proper divorce hasn't happened till this day. Back in the day it was a huge story and always had something related in the papers.

Indians have this high urge of becoming like Americans and britishers in every sense.They want white skin,speak english with accents ex priyanka chopra,copy their traditions beliefs and culture. Just see Westerners as modern and indian culture as regressive. I don't see such things in Korean and Japanese and Chinese. They love their culture language traditions. May be 200 years of colonial rule have done this to Indians. So you see this pieces of art which are downright copied from Western culture like roasting stand up comedy etc from india

People were not mad at the comedy. People were mad at the platform they chose to conduct this roast at in terms of actual venue and also the tv telecast... This is clearly adult comedy yet it was telecast on platforms that even kids would be able to watch. There is a specific place for this kind of comedy and it shouldn't be available to PG audiences, that's the whole controversy

Boney Kapoor is Arjun's father. He married the late Sridevi, who is South Indian. Arjun very famously didn't get along with Sridevi though he's taken care of her daughters like a good brother after her passing. That's what Karan meant by a North Indian who falls in love with a South Indian. It hit him right in his sore spot.

How many of us remember Rick getting offended in AIB’s The day India resigned video? It’s like in almost every video daily we get told off by him right in the beginning. Practice what you preach for once. And by the way, I am not ‘offended’ with this roast. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed Korbin’s reaction to it.

People didn't find this offensive. It happened in 2015 and BJP (right-wing party) came to power in 2014. The political figures used this as a tool to make news, like they've been doing all these years. So basically - BJP happened, not offense.

This is my first time watching this Roast and it's FANTASTIC! why didn't I know this existed?!! And about Indians getting offended, look if you give a person with no sense of humor a phone with social media, they will make it a point to shout out their opinions loud enough that a bunch of idiots will also rally behind them without even knowing what they are offended by . So, just ignore it and treat them as white noise.

Stand up wise, none of the four are that great, although if I had to choose one, I'd say Khamba is better with that dead pan delivery. However, they are great at writing satire & sketches, and they were easily the funniest comedic group we've ever had in India

They were way more ahead of time. Indians were not ready for this
