What a great short story. I like the references to fish all the way through. Like there’s plenty more fish in the sea or trying to find her is like looking for one fish in a sea full of fishes.

If we are talking about actual logic here...there is 10 billion possible combinations for a phone number so there should be only about 5 people that pick up the phone that actually has a phone number

Once, after a long night of partying, i met a girl in front of the hostel. We talked all night until the sunrise and it was one of the best moments I ever had. When she asked for my number, I was too high to type in the right prefix (we were in New Zealand at that time, she was from Sweden and I typed in my German number). So now, after all the time she still got the number right, and just has to type in the german prefix. I hope one day she gets it and gives me a message 😅

This reminds me of the Mr.Bean movie where he tries to help a kid get back to his parents or something like that. And in the movie he has the first 6 digits of the number, so he tries to call the rest of the possible numbers, dont remember if he called them all tho.
