LONG BRANCH | Omeleto

Фильм және анимация

A young woman finds a one-night stand.
LONG BRANCH is used with permission from Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart. Learn more at linseyplusdane.com.
On a cold winter night, Lynn just wants a one-night stand. As she kisses the slightly dorky guy outside a club in Toronto, she thinks she's found it. But he lives two hours away via public transit, which makes her "no strings attached" encounter suddenly complicated.
As the couple get on the subway and then on a bus, what starts out as excitement gets awkward fast. But as things get real, what begins as a fleeting encounter becomes much more interesting.
This sweet, winning romantic comedy is carried by its excellent script, as well as earnest, relatable performances by its lead actors. Captured with excellent camerawork and scored with dreamy indie rock, LONG BRANCH captures what it's like to be young, dealing with less than ideal adult lives and falling in love when you least expect it.
The journey to a delicate, budding new relationship is filled with its obstacles and rocky moments, but by the film's end, you'll want to keep following this pair into the future.

He just wants to break the awkward silence with a bit of conversation. They're both so likeable. The interplay between them is compelling. After watching a great film, I get this wonderful feeling. A mixture of euphoria and deep satisfaction that I invested my time and attention on something worthwhile. This little short put a big smile on my face.

Such a fragile, delicate, beautiful movie. With great contrasts of cold and warmth, yes and no, on and off moments throughout. It brought back to me the momentary infinite feelings of innocence we can experience in youth. Ah yes indeed, so tender is this night. It is all here for me. The prettiest of girls on the handlebars - an actual old memory. It held for me, within it, too, a sad night. Many years ago, a woman I had just met a few weeks before told me she did not want to continue. We held eachother for one last night, and though I never saw her again, I still remember her last act of kindness.

Once I hook up with a guy I knew from my extended friends group. I had a really bad self-esteem and struggled with lots of problems, so while I really got a thing for him, I didn’t thought it would last when we first made out. This short film made me remember him. We spent our first night together only kissing and talking about many things, while he was respectfull, caring and really sweet. We started dating and only got apart after that because our families live like 1500 km away from each other. It’s been three and a half years and he’s still the most amazing connection I’ve ever had, the most brilliant and gentle man I’ve ever known. Thats why I already call him my future husband.
