Digital Twins for individualized production

Rikard Söderberg - Production Area of Advance Seminar Series (spring 2021) - Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden
Presenter: Rikard Söderberg , Professor in Product and Production Development, Department of Industrial and Materials Science.
Abstract: Variation simulation has been developed and implemented in industry over the last decades. The main purpose is to support early product and production development phases towards “first product right”, increase quality and avoid costly prototypes and test series.
In this seminar we show how variation simulation can be used as digital twins to control and improve quality and the output from running production.
This presentation is part of a monthly series of short seminars with the purpose to share knowledge of infrastructures, research, educational efforts and so forth, from the Chalmers Production Area of Advance (AoA).
