This is an oscilloscope deconstruction of Digital Strider from Mega Man Battle Network 6.
Notes:
This is the sixth and last internet theme.
One of the drum samples is a high pitched "ping" sound new to this song.
During the first 6 seconds of the loop, square 1 is silent. It then picks up the musical phrase started by square 2 so that square 2 can play a second melody. In the middle of the loop (for instance from 4:12 to 4:19), square 2 lags behind square 1 to add reverb.
Like the other internet themes, Digital Strider is a song that manages to convey the vastness and mystery of the internet. It has smooth, futuristic sounding samples and a melody that is calm, but not quite happy, closer to contemplative. It's one of my favorites for sure.
What do you think of this deconstruction? Let me know in the comments.

6:15 Square 1 and 2 panning left and right sounds like they're echoing, really giving the sense that the net is a big open space

Ahhh yes. While we all were waiting for "Surge of Power!" (which, to be fair, _is_ fantastic), the track I was _ACTUALLY_ waiting for was this. It manages to hit a kind of energy I can't really describe, that I can otherwise only find in MMBN*1*'s "Boundless Network". (except BN1's Internet theme sometimes verges in the menacing...) "Digital Strider" feels like it brings some musical bits and bobs from previous BNs, but doesn't intentionally appeal to nostalgia. Learning that the PCM1 'vibraphone' sample at 7:04 doesn't go ALL the way with the squares' melody, or what the heck Square1 is doing between 4:19 and 4:30 was genuinely, surprising new information to me (since I mostly listen to them in-game, or using Droidsound-E, that doesn't have channel toggle). For those who didn't know yet, or haven't done so in a while, it _could be_ also a very enjoyable experience to check the (not very aptly named lol) "STRIDENT remix" for this track (an official remix!). I personally feel it compliments the feelings of the GBA track very well. Anyway. Might not be _the best_ Internet theme in the series (especially if we include RNR/MMSF), but it is my favorite for the GBA games.

Glad you like this deconstruction. I agree digital strider has an atmosphere I don't really hear in the bn2-5 internet themes. Love strident remix too, that one is really cool. By the way, what is RNR?

@@GremmarYT Ah, that'd happen to be Mega Man Star Force's japanese name, Ryuusei no Rockman! I figured, since these deconstructions started with showcasing both languages' song titles, it was fitting to do the same here.

@@VanHahstuz oh nice! I didn't know that. Tbh I don't know much about star force compared to BN.

Interesting that the Drum channel can play noise and PCMs at the same time. I'm assuming they're one software channel

I think (as a layman) that what's labeled "Drums" is actually a pair of channels that the ripping software are placing together (I do not know much about the GBA sound chip, but I've seen PCM 0 as a thing for other consoles)

Yeah. The GBA has five hardware channels for square, second square, wave pattern, noise, and PCM samples. Multiple PCM channels, and the collection of noise and one of those PCM channels, are done in software.
