Digital Speed Painting - Fantasy Landscape - Rift

This one felt like a bit of a grind at times, struggling with lack of direction but I just about managed to push through it. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer in the comments below.

This is an incredible piece, keep up the amazing work!! I have a deep appreciation for environment painters that don't photobash (much). Not that photobashing isn't a valid way of painting and creating an artwork- Fully Handpainted pieces just give me a warm, oldschool feeling. Great job!

This reminds me of the castle from the movie, The Dark Crystal. I love it! I also do art speed paints on my channel. I've been drawing fantasy characters for a few years but I've been pushing out of my comfort zone recently and practicing more on fantasy landscapes and scenery. So this is very inspiring thank you for sharing! :)

I've been wondering about the noise filter I see artists use in their paintings. For the longest time I thought it was caused by increasing the sharpness. Thanks for showing that! Been wondering for a while how people got that look.

Can someone fill me in on the mountain texturing. Im now trying to mess with detailed environments and such. That texture that was stretched across the ground and mountains. Was that custom made? Brush strokes? Im trying to translate the technique over to autodesk sketchbook mobile.
