Its not a joke i think. It helps setting the scale of the environment. You can visualize the warrior standing and draw around it. I could be wrong.

@@amrindersingh5952 Nah he is using the warrior brush because the blade has a hard edge while the rest of the body is round which gives the brush good qualities for making sharp and round edges.
That brush. Lol
it is literally a man-made drawing ahahahaha that brush is killing me

beautiful music choice
I swear, each move you made I was like "why??? That doesn't make se- oh, that's beautiful. Oh wow." Then you'd do something else and then repeat the cycle over again. Great work!
you getting all those sharp edges and shapes cause of that warrior brush.
I can only concentrate on the fact that your brush looks like a man holding a big sword
That fire was masterful.

okay, I understand I’m really late… but this piece has inspired me so much, tbh, all your work is amazing!! I can’t put it into words, I will sit down on my couch and watch you draw or watch the videos you make, even if it’s 24 hours long. I watched this whole video in process, and I just.. I love it.. It’s so soothing and calm, and how you decide to use your brushes are insane!! I’ve been obsessed with your work… I’m sorry if this is so sudden…. I can’t say how much you’ve inspired me… keep it up!!! you’re gaining my attention!!!!! 😙😙😙😍😍😍

Awesome - A Master stroke , in this forest ruins - concept art, it's colors and environment forced me , to let's start at present , but no because many things which you had done in your tutorial so fast. like color range part, and many other things raised question in my mind
wait, that was very cool brush , LOL , so cool
Hey! really good work omg . love the part when u used matte painting . really well executed lol!
For me, One of best concept artist, please provide more details how you use brushes collection and about landscape theory.
It’s helps me to relax)) thank u for video you are the best in the world
Hi jordan, I love your art, the scenes you create, your way of painting, and that you never seem limited in your color palette. But especially your compositions and the arrangement of the elements on the canvas, it would be great if you do a composition tutorial! :)
good project!
awesome
Listening to this music, makes me feel that I wanna....play some kind of....RPG..or something. Fantasy driven, perhaps....
Damn, really cool how clean your whole piece is and quite a nice collection of shapes you've got there, did you get a pack from somewhere?
oh that final fantasy music got me
Could you tell me where did u get that brush, please? I wanna try to make it too, I'm in love with ur art works😍
amazing art, you are a true inspiration. just one little thing, both fires have the same shape, you forgot to modify one of them. keep up the good work!
I want to know, how much time do you need to complete this artwork?
Hey I was wondering how long it took you to do the whole piece and just the "grey"scale part ?
This brush, it's cute )))
Would definitely purchase your Patreon if there was some kind of commentary or lesson involved with the video👌
a very nice fantasy world
Nice bro
Beautiful work. I looked at your Patreon but nothing happening atm ... have you got plans to share your process on there at all?
Do you share your brushes? I need that warrior guy!
Just want to live in that world so I can start my own adventure
Only 19k views, this video deserves 1M views.
Ok, where do I find this brush to download? LOL
does anyone know some book/game/movie that is set in this kind of ambience ?
I really like the brush but I don't know where to get it
THE BRUSH
How long have you finished this picture?
I got here from the fat rat Link .. Your so amazing . like to see you doing the monody pic its super cool.. I subs and liked
im watching your videos as a game design student myself to get some inspiration for my piece, is there any way i could show you my painting and have you critique it?
What a masterclass! 👏👏👏. Do you kind of create a sketch on paper first so you have a general idea of what ur looking to creat. Or do you just start in photoshop one time.
@JordanGrimmer

Thanks! And I usually don't sketch on paper beforehand. I tend to just throw myself into it with a vague idea in my head of how I want the composition to look :)

What's the initial canvas size and dpi you're using ? I see you're scaling canvas later on ( cutting it a bit, to match 16:10 ratio I believe) , please could you roughly tell what's your canvas setup there ?
@JordanGrimmer
2 жыл бұрын
Can't really remember now exactly but I always tend to work with at least 2000 pixel and higher width and whatever height I want with 72 dpi. Unless you're intending to print something out you don't need to use a higher dpi. It's not that big of a deal what resolution you use, just make sure it's big enough to get detail without it slowing your computer down too much.

Is it possible to use just one layer for something like this?
@JordanGrimmer
4 жыл бұрын
Sure, but it would be difficult to organise and move elements about when you need to, that's the point of having layers in the first place. Don't worry about using too many layers unless you're working professionally when you'll need to keep things organised, just have fun.

I can't remember the exact steps from when I made a few of mine but it is quite simple, you will have to look up how to make brushes in photoshop,. then make a silhouette of what brush you see in the video. better than asking and not receiving eh?
