John - when you say you have limited practice tests for the digital SAT ...where are those? in bluebook? As an educator do I have access to those or only students with a collegeboard account?

@@hayleymikealson5551 ahhh i get that, I think repetition really is the key tbh, thats why past papers and questions are ALWAYS recommended. Another thing I learnt is that being overly scared and afraid will ruin you. It's ok to be nervous, but try not to feed into it. :) Good luck! if you don't get your desired grade this time, there's always another exams !!

John, if I get a perfect score on the math section on the SAT, I'm going to take you out for some Korean Barbecue.

That's the biggest, most important, and most helpful thing. Thank-you for the response. It's nice to hear from you. I really enjoy your videos. They're very informative, but they're also interesting and fun, and I like the format, and they're really well done too. I love your list of the only 25 topics we need to know for the exam. That's so awesome. (I think you said it's 24 now since they took out the questions on complex numbers.) I just wanted to add this correction: I forgot that it's still 25 math topics on the exam. They just replaced complex numbers with a different topic.

The answer is 6… the x value is 6 and the y value is 36 I did it using a mix of the trig identity cos(x) = sin(90-x) so cos(3x) = sin(90-3x) (and system of equations).. The equation now would be: Sin(90-3x) = Sin(2y) So 90-3x = 2y… 3x+2y = 90 - this is equation 1 The second equation is simply x+y = 42 since the angles in a triangle add up to 180 and 180-138 = 42 So the two equations are: 3x+2y = 90 x+y = 42 Now this is a system of equations. Use elimination by multiplying the second equation by 3 then subtracting to cancel out the x terms. You should get: y = 36 Substitute 36 for y in equation 2 since it’s easier… x+36 = 42 x = 42-36 x = 6 I’m really sorry for the terrible explanation. I’m surprised I was able to solve this as I’m a grade 10 student who is gonna do the Digital SAT in 3 days, that is, December 2nd.

@@xxmayhamxx this is literally the easiest trick. Any time you see a a+b+c vertex question, look at the number in the y for the vertex (-13). Choose the answer lower than it.
