    I recommend not charging your iPad to 100% a lot, it causes minor battery damage, which builds up later on. It would be better to unplug your iPad once it reaches 80-85%. This would help prolong the battery life of your iPad.

    @@RamenAnytimeI got a pretty good one off amazon for roughly $20 I think, and I personally think it works great! It definitely dulls out the image quality slightly, but I think its all about what youre using the ipad for. I'm personally okay with that just because I use my iPad for school and writing and taking notes on my iPad and getting the glass screen protector just isn't feasible because of how the pen will slip, and the glare that would come off the iPad would be too distracting for me actually to write notes. However, if youre using your iPad for general uses a glass screen protector works just fine AND does not mess with the image quality (or at least to me) I've always had a glass screen protector on my phone and my old iPad and I think it works perfectly fine and I don't see anything wrong with the quality

    Do people actually re-write their notes after lecture? People always talk about that in these types of videos but I’ve never met anyone who actually does It in my university. Maybe it’s more useful for more information heavy disciplines like medicine and history?

    I'd say it's good to do for any subject. Rewriting notes makes you recall things, which can help with getting info remembered. I do it and I am in middle school.

  • @rokayaahmed9055

    @rokayaahmed9055

    4 жыл бұрын

    I've been doing it since elementary and it's really my best tip for people. Just take messy notes with one pen and paper or type it, and then to review lectures you took today, you just have to rewrite what you wrote today on a notebook or tablet at home. Not only does it help you remember the information, but it gives you a chance to beautify your notes if you're into that, or even reorganize them. Besides, it doesn't actually take that much time, and on the long-term it saves you alot of revision time during finals.

    A less costly hack - (and I think better study route - prove me wrong! :) A far less expensive route to paperless is a Rocketbook Everlast, your phone, and One-Note (free MS App) on an inexpensive computer - even a Chromebook running Android. Not only do I think this is a better system for taking and organizing notes, you carry less weight around, and it has a better feel to it for writing making it a much better experience, imho. Simply write your notes in Rocketbook, cross off the Rocketbook icon that you set up for a class/subject in OneNote, take a picture with your phone at the end of the day or week, and then organize your studying in MS OneNote. Don't carry your computer to class! The Rocketbook notes are erasable, so you can erase them as you no longer need them, but there are 32 pages so you can keep previous day/weeks notes for reference in class (much easier than dealing with a computer), until you are ready to erase them. When you get home after class your notes are all there, already in the subject area, and One-Note makes it easy to annotize them, convert them to text (if you want), highlight, draw, bring in web articles etc. as reference material etc. You didn't lug your computer around, you got notes to where they need to be, and I haven't seen anything that beats One-Note for note taking and organisation ... and its free.

    I have a Rocketbook and I can say that it doesn't last very long. I noticed that after some time, when you erase your notes, it doesn't erase completely and sometimes the 'paper' gets slightly damaged, even if you're gentle. I still use it for notes sometimes though and it's definitely more affordable than an ipad :)

    I’m constantly use digital notes in personal and professional life. Google Keep have simple and useful performance and great synchronization, but don’t have a folders. I’m solve this issue with using a tags. One Drive have directory but laggy. In general applying digital notes is so comfortably - you have access to necessary information in any time, in any place, in any device.

    Is there a way to use the microphone and record lectures as you are taking your notes? I would think you would be able to go back to the lecture and correct or add notes that you missed. I do not know how well the microphone would be able to pick up a lecture as I have not received my iPad yet.

    I've used both Notability and Goodnotes, but since I'm in computer science classes now, I've just switched to Apple Notes. I like how dark mode applies to both handwriting and typed notes. Goodnotes sucks with typing, and Notability is fine, but it would constantly have to redownload all my notes from the cloud. Apple Notes doesn't let you zoom in on handwritten notes though.

    For Android/Samsung users: Squid and OneNote are currently your best bet in terms of handwritten note taking apps! To unlock every function on Squid, its literally a DOLLAR a month and it's wonderful. The only thing I don't like about OneNote on my samgsung tab is that I don't have many color options in terms of pens/highlighters?? At least it was at one pont so keep that in mind (:

    I think annotating is passive way of being an active learner. Because writing on PowerPoint slides shows that you’re not taking the time to read, and transcribe the information into your own words. I learned this from Study Less, Study Smart: What I wish I would’ve done by Med School Insiders on KZread. Instead of PowerPoints stick to the note taking methods you usually do for synthesizing information. And also I suggest making summary sheets, as they can help you brief up what’s covered in the lecture. Hope that helps.

    this is what i love about the human experience because i have a completely different experience. i find that annotating pdfs help me focus more on what the teacher is saying and incorporating that into my notes instead of trying to scribble out what the slides say before the prof switches them since that can make me stop listening to the prof in order to write

    @@DistractedTv Oh annotating on PDF's is fine I heard there's a program or app called PDFelement, you can search it online and I heard you can transform your materials into anything maybe like PowerPoint, there are different options. The only downside is if you don't have the money because now these days people is gonna have to pay per month for certain things. Such as phones and for expensive furniture. pdf.wondershare.com/ And I saw they have education pricing for students and faculty members!!:O pdf.wondershare.com/buy/pdfelement-mac.html?.xwkZgl64RfyWgOz_OU1iVg.0&A%2F%2Fpdf.wondershare.com%2F
