Check out my video on disassembly and modding for the X2, that will show you the basics of taking apart the device, and where the JP connections can be found. To version switch the White to Black, you would need to change the connection for JP2. I THINK it's already connected on White, so you would need to use a soldering iron to remove the connection. Or if it's not connected, you would just need to add some solder to connect them.

Big fan! Was there anything to the smaller number to the right of what determined which areas were unlocked and battles won? Are there any differences in the debug in English (if it does exist) compared to Japanese?

No English debug unfortunately, and the small number (if I am looking at the same one as you) is simply just the zero at the end of the battles number, it itself doesn't change. So if the second number is 20, that last 0 indicates that it's 200 battles.

How u hack the clock up??

This is actually quite interesting. Things like these still need to be debugged after all. But I do have a question... can you keep track of how many care mistakes you've made on the device? Or do you need to do so manually?

Funnily enough, you CAN keep track on a debugged device... but you can also raise and lower them. For a vanilla device, you have to keep track separately.

I did the mod soldering on my Purple Japanese x-vr2. It gave me the debug mode with the digimon selection screen and the level select and exp boost but it won't let me advance time when I push the b button, is that a feature only on the red x-vr2 Japanese or did I mess up somewhere.

Is it possible to make it show digimons' names in English like the pendulum series? If yes could you please tell me which number on the circuit board should be connected? Thanks

It is not, the Digimon names on the DMX series are all locked to Japanese, the jumpers do not affect them.

Is there a way to not have the device reset the library every time I reset the device? It appears to not register certain digimon despite having obtained them prior.

Don't reset it! There is no need to reset your device at any time. If you ever change batteries, make sure to hit load, so that your progress is kept. If your Digimon has died, just hit A+B at the same time to start a new one.

@@humulomon Thanks for the reply! But I meant that even after hitting load (upon changing batteries or the little reset button), certain digimon such as Duskmon will show up as ? in the library, despite having gotten him once before through normal means.

man it looks so cool, why does this producst get so expensive so quick? I finally just bought my first V-pet and it will arrive on january. Hope to join the fun soon :)

They are produced in very limited quantities, and are available for pre-order only basically, due to them not being a product with very wide appeal. As such, they do unfortunately raise in price quickly.

Dont forget trump tarrifs on electronic goods and games will make imports more expensive specifically Chinese and Japanese goods they went into effect awhile back.

Can I turn on debug mode but continue to play as normal? I'd like to have the option of debug but when I get bored and want to go back to playing normally, I don't want to have to desolder. In other words, can I enable debug mode and then just never use it and still get the vanilla gameplay?

Mostly, yes. The only major differences that can't be disabled would be that the first two areas give much higher experience, and if you load your data, you cannot get back the Digimon you were just raising, you must pick a new one. You can pick the same type of Digimon, but will not have any of the stats your previous one had.

That won't work because that's not the correct version. They will only evolve if they exist on that version.
