Digitakt 101 - Tips and Tricks I wish I'd had! Pointers from an intermediate user for beginners
Музыка
Enjoy an extended run down of some things that took me a year and a half + to figure out with this amazing machine.
In this video I discuss all things global fx/mix, sequencing MIDI instruments, throwing the delay for transitions and builds, and composing a groove or two from scratch.
0:00 Intro
3:15 Selecting tracks without making sound!
4:25 Selecting new samples
5:17 Metronome Configuration
7:22 Which Machine? (Func+Src)
7:41 Applying swing
7:58 Playing with delay feedback
10:08 Double Stop to stop all sound!
12:40 Soaking sounds with reverb (infinite decay) :P
15:52 Sequencing an external MIDI instrument (channels 9-16)
18:22 Global FX/Mix Settings
19:12 Using Digitakt Inputs [External Mixer(Func+LFO]
20:30 Using internal FX on external instruments (delay and reverb)
21:58 Creating a new pattern using the same samples (129 bpm)
22:20 Copying pages (Page+copy, Page+Paste)
22:47 Using the "Fill" function on a simple snare idea
23:32 Making a busier bass line for technoo
24:07 Fading a sound in using the level knob
26:25 Using the Compressor to side chain to kick drum (Track 1)
32:40 Conditional Trigs on a MIDI Track (Basic Ratios)
33:17 Save to temp area and control all (Hold Track to change parameters on all tracks)
33:37 (Func+Reload to restore pattern)

This instrument was a joy to learn and full of all kinds of interesting surprises. I like to think this video will help someone get the hang of it more quickly than I was able to...

I watched a lot of tutorials, and still discovered a lot of things during my time experimenting with and using the Digitakt.

Glad you liked it!
Thanks, that was really insightful:)
On Model : Samples, I love to dick with the reverb in the same way as you're doing with the delay at 8:30. I'm very newb and discovered this "performance" feature yesterday and sure enough was able to have a great time even with my short rips.....for hours...lol. I picked up Model : Samples last month as a complete virgin to Elektron but was so intrigued that I've now "pre-ordered" Digitakt 2 that I expect mid May. I have some other gear but haven't put it all together yet without grasping the potential of midi. Won't be long. 😉 Thanks for your tips and tricks and immediately saved to my Elektron learning playlists. Cheers! /🍻

2nd playthrough now, I watched the last 20 minutes to the end.
Yep. Good. 🙌
Thanks for actually writing a script and having a good flow. I cant stand watching Digitakt videos where the host is just hitting the clicky buttons while they mumble nonsense.
