After watching the video "Digging Up a $1000 Crystal Pocket...You WON'T Believe What We Found," I have to say that I was blown away by the amazing crystals that were unearthed! The excitement and anticipation of the group as they dug deeper into the earth and eventually hit the crystal pocket was truly infectious.

I have to admit to being a little bit conflicted on the way things are done there. I can see why they're doing it that way. I guess it's part of the reason they own the place, because they can set their own prices and they don't have to get down and dirty unless they want too. That gorgeous cluster you valued at US$100,000 - I'd be so annoyed if I pulled that out because there's no way I have anywhere near that sort of money to play around with and yet they get the reward of the digging individuals hard work. But then I figure that it's like anyone that works for a mining company in some ways, so there-in is why I'm conflicted. From what you've said Brian, people still get really good deals, so.., anyway, thanks for sharing this with us. Now, all I have to say is, wow! They are some absolutely gorgeous gifts from the Earth. I've always wanted to have a wall of quartz crystals for a water feature in my garden.

If they retain the right to whatever is found, they can hire EMPLOYEES to dig it our for them. I can safely scratch digging from my list of vacation ideas. At least now I know.

I can see why it would seem like paying $1000.00 would seem steep to pay but after collecting minerals for many years the moment of pulling it out of the ground is more valuable than keeping it on display and the mine owner dedicates his life to chasing these pockets and puts you right on a world class pocket. It may seem steep but the amount of money he spends unearthing these is pretty high.

@@TheCrystalCollector when it was Stanley mines (Ocus Stanley) on Fisher Mt.(Mrs Stanley was a Fisher by birth) They charged peanuts and we could keep everything we found. I'm curious about the backhoes you use. Do you work for Avant? Ocus' son told me who was buying up the mines back in 2001. We had hand tools not the equipment I see in these videos. Clusters, tailings etc...were more than abundant for us rockhounds. I also met Ocus when he was still living.

I get that - at first, I recoiled at the idea, but if you read on the website, they *guarantee* you will leave with $1000 in wholesale value in crystals, if you found more than $1000, I'm sure you could buy more, but the retail value is quite a bit higher, so if you're looking to find & flip, you'll be virtually guaranteed to come out ahead. I would even venture a guess they would help you pick the best $1000 bit(s) if that was your desire. I think that's fair. It's not public land. This mine could easily be closed off and run as a completely private enterprise. Worst case scenario, you paid $350 to cover the costs associated with the mine in the time you spent there, and that's only if you refused to take anything with you, but you've had a day of unearthing some of the best stuff ever. I think this is probably the best of both worlds, because you're being given access to something truly rare and special, and you aren't having to own the land, deal with mining regs, OSHA, etc. You just pop in and out, and are virtually guaranteed to be paid for your time.

Hey Brian, another insane video. Sorry but Im still unclear after watching and reading the comments, if you do find and pull crystals, how much do yo get to keep for the 1000.00? Seems like you would at least get to keep the smaller clusters. Or is that just the fee to be there? My daughter has been hounding me for years to visit one of these minds in your videos. I went down after they finish the job that day and found out the little bastards had stolen. A lot of my stuff that was in bags that I had put in boxes. so beautiful rainbow fluorite couple pieces of beautiful Jade meg tooth some Tanzanite some rose quartz. Now I’m gonna have to go and buy some replace everything a little jerk stole. I spoke to the boss about it. Some people pay $1000 to go to Disney, some $1000 to do fossil digs, or for a ski/snowboard vacation, etc. It's not the price it's the experience as he says so stop knocking the mine and owners. My 10yr old is obsessed with geodes and rocks. I need to find a place like this and take her. She would lose it over these lol I wouldn’t be able to get her to leave lol. She has cancer. Diagnosed age 3 and has been on chemo 6yr of her lil life. She studied a lot and watched a lot of videos. She’s almost 6mo out of treatment and able to go and DO rather than watch. I think I’ll try and do a mini vacay and let her dig and get dirty for once.

For that price most people are stuck just watching videos…..might be worth it for a select few, but most people cannot afford this.😮

Not a lot to someone who knows what they are looking at. Now they will sell to people that try to keep up with the Joneses

Sounds to me like he lets you keep some things I would think at least up to the amount that you paid but I totally understand it's like wow if he let everybody pay $1,000 and then take out $200,000 crystals he probably wouldn't be able to operate so for me that's a lot of cash if I had the cash I would do it you know in some of those pieces really should be in museums ☺️

Why is it crystals are found were they were never grown or formed ?

These crystals are found where they grew, the reason they are in dirt is because the dirt is the granite that has decayed into dirt after millions of years. These crystals form within just a few inches or feet from where we are finding them.
