Yep. That first one is called Oh-hell-NO-l'm-never-going-in-the-sea-again and l think the other is a razor clam.

great vid really brings me back! You're not allowed to help other people though. My friends all got tickets just for reaching into the hole for other people. For example, someone dug the hole, but their arm is too short to reach, so my friend helped reach down and got a ticket.

@@goodmushroom yes of course they did, every single person in their group had a fishing license. they were out clamming, my friend, his brother, couple other friends, and his dad. Everyone stayed within their limits and everyone dug their own holes, but his dad's arm was not long enough to reach a few of the clams.

Thanks for sharing. This is the first time hearing about it. I guess it makes sense from a CWS perspective to protect over harvesting.

@@goodmushroom no, actually it's ridiculous because those clams would've died anyway since they were already dug, just not picked up. And there is no law against comingling of clams, unlike abalone.

@@chimyshark It would totally suck if it happens to my frds, I would never thought this would be a problem. abalone harvesting is banned in California till April 1, 2026 due to over harvesting though
