When it comes to durability of tiles, clay tiles are the best. My house roofing is made from Mangalore tiles which is 110 years old and still looks the sames as new tiles when its cleaned on top side. But the concrete tiles are hard from breaking but definitely will lose its cement bonding power after 5 years max, it will be useless once removed from the roof. Concrete tiles are best fit for windy area like the plane lands.

First of all, Even if we consider weight of clay tile as 2.5 kg, weight per cft = 3.325 kg/cft (1.33 times) Max water absorption = 20% i.e , weight per cft at max water absorption is = 3.99 kg/cft (1.2 times) Which is still less than dry weight of your concrete tiles😂(4 kg/cft) I don’t know where your calculations went wrong during marketing!🤪 By the way concrete tiles aren’t heat resistant as of clay tiles 90 kg load carried by single clay tile is enough to replace them ( weight of an adult monkey 🐒 is 12 kg, even if it jumps add 3 times, I.e 36 kg most ) So don’t make people 🐒🐵 Concrete deteriorates much faster than clay as clay is natural ( max life of concrete is 40 years ) Clay tiles are more eco-friendly than concrete in the scale of carbon footprint. So friends as an Engineer 👷🏽 I suggest you to go with clay tiles for your and future generations good health and environment, thank you, cheers 🍻 😅

Thank you sir for commenting, As u said in comment regarding weight comparison of concrete tile and clay Tile, As per our studies, One concrete tile covers 1.1sq.ft area where as clay tile covers 1.5sq.ft area. So please check your calculations, Weight of 1 clay tile= 2.5kg Per Sq.ft Wt= 3.75kg Water absorption= 25% So after water absorption the Wt. Per Sq.ft will be goes around 4.68kg per sq ft Hence weight of concrete tile is still less than clay tile. And you said about marketing,then i just want to clear that we are not doing marketing of any product because if we are doing marketing of concrete roof tiles then we didn't upload videos of other roofing materials like premium clay tile, shingles,puff panel, application of manglore roof tiles.. So please understand that more than marketing we just trying to educate people in roofing.. If there is slab then the heating problem will create definitely because there wasn't any gap from which air can passes in the home but in concert tile, their is some minor gaps are maintained between the two tiles hence the air can passes easily from gaps So In concrete tile, their will not be any heating issues... And yes we aren't make people 🐒 , As per your opinion,the weight of adult money is 12kg, yes it is right that clay tile can bear the weight of money but if it jumps on clay tile or more monkeys jumps at a time at certain pressure then obviously clay tile can break... For example- If you put one hammer on your hand or 2 or 3 hammer on your hand.. this will not affect your hand by any injury.. but if this hammer drop on hand from certain height / pressure will create and automatically your hand will be injured.. this is what we are trying to saying you about your openion regarding monkey... Actually sir, As per our study in olds days the manufacturing of the clay tile is very good for example in that time 100% clay is used and this clay is tested in all weather conditions but now a days clay tiles are not tested for all weather conditions so quality of clay tiles is not that much maintain now, hence life of clay roof tile is less than concrete tiles now a days.. And yes it's all your choice that going with which product,but it's our duty of giviving right information to people about all products as much as possible We are working approx. 25-30 years in roofing and you are also an engineer so might be our techniques and opinions were different and we respect your opinion also Hope you too understand our opinion And if you have any more doubts or opinions please do comment or call me on 9604629995 We will discuss further, Thank You Santosh Roofing

clay tiles have been in use for many centuries. they are user friendly, cost-effective, environmentally responsible compared to concrete tiles. clay tiles reduce heat, look classic! your comparison of the two is not balanced. clay tiles cost lesser, they don't fly off due to wind if installed correctly...

Sir as you said about the clay tiles, that they are used from centuries in those day the material quality and also manufacturing process of the clay tile was very good properly tested and due to this it may create good properties but the tile which are made now a days are not heated properly and quality is not properly maintained and it may cause disadvantages which are mentioned in our videos Next the cost of per tile is less but when the tile is installed in per sqft(square-fit) area it acquires 1.5 tiles (1tile + half another tile) so the numbers of tiles are increases
