It's a real shame the writers completely forgot that Diego had this power in season 3. I honestly don't remember any knife throwing scenes at all, let alone scenes where he controls their flight paths.

He throws knives at Christopher in ep1, throws a knife backwards towards a mannequin in ep 6 or 7 and then does some knife throwing with Lila in the final but all of them are really lame compared to the clips in this video. I was sad to see a whole season wasted without more development on his power especially after season 2

I'd say klaus diego and season 1 luther are the most interesting siblings but they kind of all fall back in season 2 besides diego, who does a lot of dumb things but is developed thanks to reginald being here, like klaus doesn t really improve in this season, his relation with Dave is explored but that s it, Luther become a goofy version of himself and the other siblings are just themselves, vanya struggles with identity and relations five is fuve and allison is meh as always

I hope in season 3 they have a scene where Diego just throws multiple knives and has them ricochet off the walls to hit multiple targets

Honestly, Diego's power being more air control of projectiles is a lot cooler to me than just being able to hold his breath for a long time (in the comics). Allows for much more versatility in combat 😄

Bullseye is nothing against diego no offense to bullseye fans but diego is basically like acceleration from majutsu no index. Diego can basically manipulate any object that moves if bullseye throw something diego can just control its direction and deflect it no matter how much fast it is even if bullseye use a gun diego can still control its acceleration speed and its vector, while Diego can also manipulate other object he can hust throw a knife to elsewhere and it will still hit bullseye. Edit: On season 2 we saw a glimpse of diego tampering the direction of some bullet on final episode some hints on his capability if he master it he can basically control and manipulate anything that moves even the wind and the planet.

Wouldn't be fair since Diego's object throwings don't actually depend on how talented he is at aiming but the powers he has. On the other hand Bullseye has no powers he is just good at aiming. Think like Bullseye can't manipulate the direction of a speeding knife and change its way.

His power is trajectory manipulation so he can alter the trajectory of any flying object

#5 may be my current favorite, yet Diego is who I'd be if I were a member of the UA. Similar edged weapon skill set, stoic(although, I've been known to brood...) except when I'm not and enjoy monochromatic, tactical clothing. Still working on distance throwing and altering the trajectory of the blades, mid-flight🤷‍♂️.

I used to not like him in S1 but after S2? GAWD I LOVE HIM AHAHAHAHAHA

At the end of season three I thought to myself “Diego is the only one that’s objectively going to be fine. He could go into UFC tomorrow and own everyone “ Like honestly everyone “how will I live?” Diego “Aw dam. Well at least I have my skills”

If he can control the trajectory of any moving thing, then shouldn't he also be able to control the movements of living things too? Or control the conversion of potential energy to kinetic energy or vice versa, so he can stop things from falling or even completely freeze them from moving, or stop your blood flow

We've been shown most of the members of Umbrella Academy aren't able to use their powers anywhere near the full potential. So that's probably why he can't do that

I think season 3 should start like guardians of the galaxy 2 with mr blue sky like sparrow academy vs umbrella academy

Like all the other siblings (except maybe Luther whose ability is innate because it's straight up enhanced strength and durability) his power requires focus and effort to perform. If he's under stress or not able to be fully focused I imagine his power isn't as easy to use as accurately.

@@samnicholas6365 i think Luther also needs to activate his superstrength consciously. Remember that he could resist a RPG rocket but not some 9mm bullets from an Uzi (in this last one, Handler took by surprise everyone in that barn)

moki yeah they gave him trajectory manipulation(Kinda like telekinesis but probably restricted to already moving objects), breathing underwater still hasn’t been disproven as one of his abilities.

In the comics, his power is that he can hold his breath for as long as he wants. His knife throwing was just a skill. For the Netflix series, they got rid of the holding breath thing and straight up gave him trajectory manipulation.

Probably the worst portrayal of knife throwing of all time.
