I love this route from Luzern to Interlaken! We have stayed in Sachseln several times and Reuti too and traveled this route many times. It is a beautiful part of Switzerland, and I hope to one day go back to this part of Switzerland. I have many wonderful memories of our time in Switzerland with my family.

This is my favourite swiss overland route...typical swiss engineering. I love seeing everyones faces when an otherwise overland express train suddenly just pulls the "rack- rail trick" out of the "hat" for just 12% of the overall journey when it needs to !! Imagine the euston to birmingham express (here in the uk) suddenly climbing a hill at a huge angle, then climbing down the other side into an enormous gourge, becouse a tunnel just would'nt work ! Everyone onboard would think something had gone terribly wrong! Transportation wise, the swiss will always find a way around anything.... Respect !!

At one hour, one minute and fourty one seconds, look to the left and you will see a wooden bear on the top edge of the hasli valley (blink and yo will miss it!) It tells you that you have left the canton of obwalden and just entered the canton of bern... land of mountains and lakes!!

Very nice video

I like the Swiss lakes with mountains. As place of residence I would prefer Montreux (wehre even palm trees grow) but if you are Switzerland railway fan Interlaken is the best place to stay for a lot of expedtions including Berner Oberland (Eiger, Moench, Jungfrau).

What a wonderful ride. Excellent and so Swiss. For those a bit pee-ed off at the Shaky Shakey try watching at 1.25 or 1.5 speed. You don't notice it as much and....... you still get the same thrill of the ride.

Exactly the opposite of what I do with video’s from the car-dashboard, that get on my nerves due to my constantly co-piloting 🤦🏼‍♀️ I lower the speed to 0,75. However this confirms exactly what I am: a Dutch grey-haired woman still aspiring to drive in Switzerland - but annoyingly carefully.

I love this route, whenever I go to Switzerland and Interlaken, this is the train I take from Zürich. Only one technical detail about the video: it seems to have a bit of jitter throughout, could this be fixed? Other videos don't seem to have this problem and look completely smooth (like the Luzern - Engelberg one, for example).

Beautifull, and the trains seem tio run quite fast for metre gauge. I would say 100 km/h in the straight sections (I've seen limitations to 80 signalled but I guess that only applies in specific points, if the rules are the same as the ones applied on 'big' SBB trains)

Very nice and scenic route, especially when it starts climbing hills. You can see the lake from an altitude. And the speed, wow!! Goes quite fast. However there seems to be a technical problem with the video with the jittering. Doesn't happen in other videos. Can this be fixed? Other videos don't seem to have this problem.

Ist der Zug in der 1. Klasse um die Mittagszeit sehr voll? Ich würde gerne auf eine Reservierung verzichten, da nicht feststeht, wann ich von Luzern abreisen werde.

37:56~49:40 = Lake Lungern(Lungernersee). this lake and town exists as "Lakeville" map in game "World of Tanks". they cutted lake to half(to north and south) and used south part with northern lake coast to make lake and town and moved cathedral(or maybe church) on south side of city to center of town. and also photo of lake used as Windows 10 random recommended pre-login image. if your pc shows it you can say "it's lungern!" or "it's Lakeville of World of Tanks!".

Frage: Läuft das Video mit korrekter Geschwindigkeit? Mir scheint die Fahrt war in echt langsamer.

I was watching this on a music mix on another channel (which didn't state which train line this was) and for some weird reason up until about 35 minutes in i thought this was Japan xD

It should be noted the train reverses direction at Meiringen to ascend the slope to Brunig Hasliberg and also for the descent to Brienz.

I actually mentioned to a friend that the bear had no reaction to the train and thought it could be fake but then I thought "who would put a cardboard cut-out of a bear in the middle of no-where?'. Thank you for your reply and confirming answer about the 'Bear', It's good to know I'm sharper than I thought LoL.. Cheers

Tolle Bilder, etwas stoerender Zeitraffer , oder aenliche Alchimie , merkt man am "Rupfen"der Bilder hin und wieder. Besonders auffaellig ist di Ausfahrt mit Steigung in die Zahnstangen in Giswi (ab Min.33.00). wenn man die Autos beobachtet, rechts auf der Dorfstrasse, "duesen" diese weit schneller davon als die erlaubten 50 Kmh.Aber insgesamt schoen TreNord Luino

Exactly what i was thinking...identical video...same sort of weather...same time of year--visibility but, more up to date cam, as this one is fuzzy (for 2020) and is wobbling about. This is my favourite train vid on youtube (and in real life but can't get to switzerland at the moment)... so come on zentralbahn.... you know you want to.... ;))

Ein wunderbarer Film. Leider aber wurde eine große Chans für den Fremdenverkehr verpasst. Warum werden die Namen der durchfahrenden Stationen nicht genannt. Bin enttäuscht.

In der Tat, eine herrliche Landschaft. Doch wie viel schöner wäre dieses Video, würde man reisen statt zu rasen. So bleibt mir ein lascher Nachgeschmack.

Der Zug rast ja los und das bei Meterspur. Entschuldigung: könnte es etwas Zeitraffer sein?? Wie schnell fährt er denn?

Höchstgeschwindigkeit ist 120 km/h. Und ja, sehr wahrscheinlich ist das Zeitraffer

Gar kein Zeitraffer. Die fehlenden Minuten sind auf den Richtungswechsel in Meiringen zurückzuführen.

Ich bin auf der Wunderschönen Strecke 2013 mitgefahren aber traurig das die Stationen wo der 🚂 anhält nicht im Film genannt werden.😢

Super Ideal für automisch Steuerung....

Es ist sehr schade und unverständlich, dass man denn Film so schnell laufen läst!😟 Das verdirbt die ganze, sonst so wunderschöne Reise!😠

Ist kein Zeitraffer, die Länge des Videos passt genau zur planmäßigen Fahrzeit (abzüglich ein paar Minuten für den Richtungswechsel in Meiringen). Vmax auf dieser Strecke ist 120km/h.

Jeden Tag hat Sonne scheinen & brauchen trotzdem ohne Solar....
