--- LYRICS
Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
Deliver Daniel, deliver Daniel?
Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
And why not every man?
He delivered Daniel from the lion's den
And Jonah from the belly of the whale
And the Hebrew children from the fiery furnace
Why not every man?
Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
Deliver Daniel, deliver Daniel?
Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
And why not every man?
The wind blows East and the wind blows West
It blows like the Judgement Day
And every poor soul that never did pray
Will be glad to pray that day
Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
Deliver Daniel, deliver Daniel?
Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
And why not every man?

Everyone's talking about the G1 (and it is a good one) but can we get some love for Christy-Lyn, popping that high D out easy as falling over a log?

Jules M. Have you ever tried singing a high D? It’s difficult and more than just whistle-toning. Not saying that that G1 wasn’t absolutely stunning, but a sustained high D could shred a singer’s voice forever if not done skillfully. She absolutely nailed it, and her achievements should be recognized!
Dat last G1 though! Excellent!

+Eric Hollaway you are gladly welcome!! I would love to be able to sing with y'all one day!
We performed this incredible piece when I was in highschool. Our largest choir was 212 voices and the wall of sound was incredible. When we had the choirs, bands, and orchestras massed, we had over 750 performers on the stage.
Eric Holloway's voice is just so perfect for this song, even aside from the G1. One of the most resonant bass voices I've ever heard!
I don't know who's here for the music, and who's here for the message, but I've played this song at least 5 times in a row now and my soul is blessed thoroughly by both! 😊 It's just amazing to me how these spiritual songs birthed out of American slavery are able to touch and unite ppl from around the world with a message of hope deliverance... 🙌🏾

Watching/listening again on 10/10/22 -- and watching the chills chase each other up and down my arms.
At the end, with the low G1 and the whole chord range, the sound of the whole choir is like a Hammond organ. Sounds great !!!
Love the song and exceptionally done.

You guys make so many people happy. Even the dislikes...you make those people happy by giving them amazing talent they can dislike in order to make themselves feel superior. I am a Patreon supporter of Julien. But EVERYBODY who watches this should at least give a one time tip of 5 dollars or so to one of the singers of their choice. Seeing this once is worth 5 bucks of anybody's money.

+Eric Hollaway Thanks Eric. Your final note was amazing...not only because of its depth and clarity, but its quality, a true note, not a growl. And to be able to blend with 10 other voices and truly blend and not overpower is the sign of a professional. I realize that Michael Lining ensured that your voices were well balanced, but he could only work with what was given to him. Looking forward to whatever you people do next, either as a group or individually.
Still loving this months later!
Just rewatched after all this time & this is *still* awesome!
Shivering, smiling, crying --- what a magnificent way to start my day! Every singer surged with energy and joy, and that basso profundo at the very end shot tingles down my spine. So much work, so much time, so much talent: What a blessing you 11 have delivered and shared!

Julien, I just heard about the terrorist attack in France. My husband and I are so very sorry. Our prayers are with you and your fellow countrymen. The message in this song is appropriate for a time like this. Please know that we care.
That was amazing. I hope that you would do more collaborations like this one. Was sheer delight to listen to.
Fantastic! The tracks are mixed down so well. All the vocals are perfect. I've listened to this recording so many times already, I just love it. It was a very nice idea to highlight the individual parts in the end.
This Hymn is amazing, and you'll took it to a much higher level with your beautifully gifted and talented Voices!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless!!!!!!! True music is a special inbuilt talent, and you'll epitomized it!!!
Still here in September 2021, love this still!!
incredible! I'm watching it on my Roku and in the stereo mix just sounds app fantastic
My choir director in college absolutely loved having the chamber singers (the elite of the elite as he judged it) sing this very song. Congratulations to all of you for a superb performance!
Simply wonderful!!!!
So!!!! Beautifull!!!! Thnx!!
It took a whole planet full of people to agree to do this and make it happen. That alone is amazing. As is the rest of this.
Fabulous! Well done!
I can't stop listening All of you are incredible and that last note gives me chills every time This was already one of my favorite channels on KZread, but you've really outdone yourself this time
What a wonderful song! Sent shivers down my spine. It must have taken a lot of work to put all of this together. Great job, all of you!
I love a capella music and this was beautifully done. Great music and in my opinion a very talented orchestrator. This channel is always a pleasure to watch.
This is amazing! Thank you
Great! So well done!
... G1 !!!! That is my absolute goal! Incredible video! Awesome job once again
Seven months. . . same shivering reactions every time. I'm running out of superlatives! [And that's a rare problem for a retired English prof.]
Fantastic - what a great arrangement!
Beautiful!!!!!
Listening again on 6/10/20, feeling the chills race up my arms and down my back even more than when I first experienced it in 2015. We NEED this evidence of broken barriers and blended talents just now.
Energy in motion. Superb editing!
Awesome! Great to listen to even with only the song, but I especially loved the pseudo-solos at the end where we get to enjoy each singer's vocal talents individually.

+Eric Hollaway I'm a low bass at highschool (I can hit a low Eb2) How long did it take you to get as low G1? Also, do you have any techniques on hitting lower notes?
@thatbassvoice
8 жыл бұрын
Well, it was never my goal to hit any certain note. I just knew I could get pretty low. I've actually bottomed out to date at E1. A year ago, I couldn't do that but what song calls for that note? My advice is to enjoy singing within your range. I don't understand all the science and biology of it, but I was blessed with a unique voice. I don't take it for granted and I don't want to keep it all to myself...and neither should you. Put a video up! With deep voices come deep responsibility. lol
Absolutely amazing! :)
