I used to love this movie when I was a kid, I’ve probably seen it 25-30 times by now. I only just now realized that when he said “did you miss me” he was taunting them for not hitting him...with bullets. He wasn’t asking if they missed him emotionally. Mind blown.

It was probably also meant to be asking us audience if we missed him, since it had been a while within the movie since we last saw him as the Mask. Works either way.

Never say Son of the mask is awful because of bad CGI, it's awful because the plot sucks ass, it's hardly funny, too many subplots nobody cares about, and none of the original cast. This one had bad CGI, still a great movie.

That music and their expressions, man... xD It's just the perfect storm of emotion that says "Ohhhh, we're screwed o.o" LOL.

As a kid...it never occured to me that him saying "Did you miss me?" Mean if they actually shot him or not lol. Granted, the scene where his bullet holes show up...is still great. Definitely one of the top 3 best childhood videos I've ever seen. Thanks for this clip. (A life time later I know eh?)

This character was perfect for Carrey, just like how Genie was for Robin Williams or Joker for Mark Hammil.

I still love both the jokes in this scene. Classic cartoon gags you just don't see any more.

Still my favorite movie. The Mask is just straight-up a cartoon character IRL. Its his persistence in the face of adversity, his silly overacting antics, his quick thinking, and his ability to laugh off any injury that endear us to him. I still think my favorite gag is this bit right here; the whole "DId you miss me?" gag with the drink spilling out the bullet holes.

Jim Carry is such a jokester and thats why i love him!

Aimad Alioui the grinch in my opinion wasn't a good movie it basically ruined the original and the whole meaning and point if the grinch considering that it's supposed to be a children's classic.... adult humor and sexual innuendoes have no place in a children's anything and was basically half of the dialogue in the grinch and so many people could have done that role sooooo much better

Jim Carrey is a true genius, there aren't many comedians who can transform themselves into an amazing lead character like he did in The Truman Show, and yet I feel as though he wasn't appreciated enough by the industry, sure, everyone loves him but he was a revolutionary, a game changer... no comic before him and after could do the things he did. I admire the dexterity of Carrey's performance as an actor and the authenticity of the script. A excellent movie in fact; I remembered I was 5 when I watched it for the first time. The only thing that I regret on this movie it's gun scenes, however I love it......

When The Mask is dancing with Tina and he turns her into a human tornado while spinning her around, none of the onlookers in the crowd show the slightest bit of amazement indicating that the extras were not directed to react to the special effects. When Kellaway shows up at Stanley's apartment to question him and Stanley scrambles to stuff all the stolen bank money into his closet, you can see that a few of the bills are blank on the back.

The Loki from the Thor movies doesn't have cartoon powers. However, the Loki from Son of the Mask (who created this Mask) could totally do this. Though Alan Cumming's performance wouldn't be like Jim Carrey. Tom Hiddleston's Loki wouldn't be able to imitate this scene at all because his powers are more illusions than cartoon physics, he probably has never seen Dirty Harry to quote the lucky line, and the bang guns are more of a DC's Joker thing to do than Marvel's Loki. The Mask's Loki is more of a clown trickster while Marvel's Loki is a trickster in constantly lying and betraying. However, Toon Girl from my novels could definitely do this scene as her powers were directly inspired by Jim Carrey's The Mask. Though she might have a problem pulling out those guns because she hates guns. Then again, the bang flags may be used to ease everyone's worries that she has gone dark.
