    the princeas bride is definitely one of my favorite movies, my favorite part is "Give me whatever i want" "Yes! All that you ask for, and more! Please.." "I want my father back, you son of a b*tch." why dont they make movies like that anymore 😭

    Mandy Patinkin lost his father to cancer, and acting out this scene for him was like killing the cancer that took his father. I lost my father to dementia, and every Father's Day I play the clip of that fight and I say the lines along with him. By the time I get to "I want my father back..." I'm typically sobbing and can't finish it.

    lol no way here I thought I was one of only a few - it’s magical to watch him do it … & fyi at least when I asked him 20 years ago he obliged like the amazing gentleman he is…. Gave me chills & I had to fight back tears while laughing…. His eye sparkled as I’m pretty sure he understood. I’ve ALWAYS admired & deeply respected Mandy ever since. In person he’s as down to earth & incredibly gracious & friendly as you’d think. Thank you for the magical memories Mr Patinkin ❤😊

    I heard him talk about that, too. What I thought was particularly sweet is that when it was a child, he'd have them close their eyes while he said it. So as he grew older than the character, the children would still see the character, not the actor. I thought that was a touching detail.
