I thought about that immediately - I think it was David Collins who was saying they wanted to make it a running joke throughout the series and helped write the scenes and voice the stormtroopers for Force Awakens and Rogue One. Always figured it was talking about the T-16 Skyhopper that Luke flew through Beggar's Canyon

Did you not see the Ghost during the space battle above Scariff? It is seen joining the fleet out of hyper space, as well as doing a fly by in front of one of the rebel ships.

The clone wars movie doesn't have a crawl either. I remember being really surprised when I saw it in theaters. But with Rogue One I wasn't all that surprised and pieced together that non saga movies dont get crawls.

Rob .Nice I don't think the shield would hold up against the Death Star. Krennic messed up so therefore since the archives have been breached the empire needed to destroy their facility at all cost to keep the Death Star plans out of rebels hands. War is war and everyone is expendable

I think the raw power from the Death Star's laser would have blown through the Planetary shields of the world like it was a glass window. As I bet Alderaan also had Planetary Shields too. Though could argue that they weren't up during its destruction but I would guess if it was a Rebel world that was defying the Empire. The fact of the Death Star showing up. The planet would have had its defenses up. Alderaan is not a young word. It had a history. Sure most of it is now Legend history. Though most could fit in the canon...as no one could argue with it now. Being the planet is GONE. Long with its bug problem. So the shields would have meant nothing. As even in Return of the Jedi the Death Star 2 barely finish blew through two Mon Calamari warships like they were cheap starfighters. Mon Calamari Star Cruisers were feared by the Imperial Fleet. DS2 just BOOM! Blew them up. Battle Ready and shields to full. BOOM! BOOM! So yeah...DS1 could have punished through the shields regardless if they were still up. Though I think they were down as the Hammerhead Cruiser that pushed two Star Destroyers into the Shield Gate caused a failure in the Shield Grid and the whole system shutdown. Either way did not matter. Scariff is a wasteland now. GG everyone. You killed 7 Trillion people in the span of 2 hours.

Qardo I disagree. There are no ”rebel worlds”. Even if rebels were stationed there, that does not make every citizen a rebel. Such a base (”world”) would be attacked immediately. And nobody knew about the Death Star, so I doubt they would activate their shields, if they even had one. Imperial forces showing up is not unusual. Alderaan was part of the Empire after all. Scariff was an imperial research facility, I doubt that it had a population, besides the troops stationed there.

I’m glad rogue one went through some reshoots feels more like the original trilogy and makes the movies far better when they take there time

the Ghost was in the battle of scarif I was soooo exicted pointing at it!!

I just want to say that as i watched this video a huge rush of nostalgia mixed with future hype hit me. WE LIVE IN A TIME where there are people connecting story lines and random characters with an OLD franchise that was a previous 2 generations thing with the sometimes very sub par additions that came 1 generation ago. The fact that Saw is in CloneWars as a teenager, Rebels as a Man and RogueOne as an Old man is a perfect example of what i mean. He wasn't in ANY of the original trilogy but he made his way into the canon via two cartoons and a movie that was placed in the timeline making it really feel he was there right around when the original trilogy was made. few that's a LOT and i don't feel i'm expressing my thought very well. I hope this makes sense. Any way i just LOVED this video and videos like this going forward would be great. I JUST LOVE all the connections between the movies. Plus the behind the scenes stuff is really cool.

There were several things that I did not know here!

The Stormtrooper doll was named "Stormy" I laughed way to hard.

I love Star Trek! I hope episode 9 has Picard in it!

Wobani is also an anagram of Obi-Wan.

Sam Witwer (Starkiller & most recently the voice of Maul on Rebels) voiced one of the Storm Troopers & also voiced the Rebels that Vader slaughtered in the hallway at the end of the movie.

So no information on that crashed X-Wing on Jeda?

Star Wars explained this is a off topic question but do stormtrooper armour has sizes or is it adjustable because Rex has a different size in Rebels P. S : love to be subscribed to you and I learned alot about Star Wars because of you and May the force be with you:)

I forget where I saw the article, but Artoo is also briefly seen in an X-Wing at the battle of Yavin, I believe with the same markings as Biggs X-Wing.

Finally! Someone pointed out the old clone tank.

Gareth Edwards' character is also canonically in Episode 4, and he sees himself as the reason the Death Star was destroyed at all, as seen in his interview with Tomska.

Another bit of trivia about the Hammerhead... It's not the exact same ship, as the one from Knights of the Old Republic... The ship from KotOR was a Cruiser class vessel, along the lines of Nebulon B's (like the one the Tantive IV, ejects from at the end of Rogue One), og Victory Class Cruiser (slightly smaller than Imperial Star Destroyers)... The Hammerhead ship in Canon is a Corvette class vessel more akin to a Corellian Corvette, like the Tantive IV. Mostly noticeable by the sheer difference in size, and also, the lack of guns on the canon version, compared to the one from the video game :)

Jyn is about 21 in Rogue One. She is 8 in the first scenes. So about 13 years before the battle of Yavin.

15 years before ANH. At the rebel meeting Jyn said that she last saw her father 15 years before. However, she could have been approximating so it could have been 13 as the previous two replies say.

Cassian is from a Planet called Mexico.

The primary turbolaser batteries on the star destroyers are dual-barrel cannons in Rogue One. This contradicts the Octuple-Barbettes seen in Rebels.

I have counted six appearances of Ghost from Star Wars: Rebels. At one of that count I heard her unique blaster sounds.

You mentioned you could hear " General Sindula" being paged. You missed a page for " General Solo"...I'll have to listen again for the scenes... when Jyn leaving the meeting & out onto the tarmack...

I thought cause krennic likes old fashion stuff, like his DT-29 that needs to be reloaded manually. And his shuttle was a old design that later got put down by the empire. Also with krennics gun it says it's customized to add a scope.

The door that shuts on the Tantive IV before they detach is the same door the troopers blast through a few hours later.

I love those black storm troopers.

what I think is really cool is in Empire Strikes Back the snowspeeder pilots are Rogue Squadron, and none of them use Rogue One as a designation in the film. There's a Rogue Leader, but no One.

I'd also like to talk about a couple of interesting planet names; Wobani which is Obi-Wan scrambled (although that seems to be a coincidence) and Eadu. Eadu is so close to Eriadu, which is Tarkin's home planet. It just kinda bugs me that there are two completely different planets with such similar names.

Question(s). Why did the Tantive head for Tatooine rather than high-tailing it to the senate or at least Yavin 4?

4:27 Warwick Davis is in every Star Wars movie, just like how Stan Lee is in every Marvel movie.

I know there's a really obvious real-world answer to this question, but is there an in-universe reason why Vader's Rogue One lightsaber is a more vibrant shade of red than in A New Hope? I know he made a new one for Return of the Jedi with a different crystal, I'm just curious whether there is a canonical reason for this one or if it's just a production decision.

greedy44 Yeah, I mean no one else can do the voice. I'm sure some people can get close. Hell, Bugs Bunny has gotten new voice actors. But, that's why when I read that there was all kinds of talk that maybe we'd see Vader in more movies, I was like, "Hold on a minute." JEJ is no spring chicken anymore, not even close. It's the same problem with John Williams. How many more scores can he possibly compose? It's almost certain that Star Wars will outlive many of the people most iconically associated with it.

If you watch the Rogue one space battle clip here on KZread, at 5:08 the ghost is seen flying by the cockpit while firing at TIE fighters!
