Did We Take Our Chickens Out To Early?
Our chickens are officially 6 weeks old and it is time for us to take them outdoors. We have been waiting to get them out of the brooder and it is the right temperature outside plus they are old enough now so we can make it happen.

I do have a question have you ever had a chick die suddenly at seven weeks old
Oh my you have them indoors?! Lol, ours are shedding at about that age. 😂

We have never had chickens during spring/summer only baby chicks in the winter so we went use to it🙈

@@AcresOfAdventure lol, we got late spring chicks and they were fine in stock tanks and a heat lamp. 🤣 I couldn’t do in the house.
Well I feel terribly mean. I had ours out around three to four weeks last summer! 😮

No If it’s warm where you at then that’s perfect!
Awesome. Our very first delivery of 6 all arrived dead yesterday. I was so heartbroken.

I’m so sorry. Try going to your local feed store. I’ve always had good luck with them.

Hey there you seem to have 4-5 roosters and the rest hens because of the combs the roosters get combs red that early not hens!!

I go by combs also, the tails are too different depending on the breed.

@@AcresOfAdventure oh ok
I didn’t let my first few chicks out until about 6 weeks. I just got 4 more who are only a week old but I wonder if they could go out before the 6 weeks since it will be in the 90s pretty soon here. Any advice?
What type of feed do you feed them little ones?

Chickhouse reserve
Chicken wire will not protect your chickies at night from predator, you will lose your chicken

I agree, luckily we have a Great Pyrenees that helps protect the area
Bad Chicken Owner. Please stop raising chickens. A coop can’t have nothing protecting them, you basically have a chicken run for them and they will not survive.
