After 3 Years We Are FINALLY READY For Turkeys!!!
We haven't raised turkeys since we left our urban homestead in the Phoenix area. Today that is going to change as we bring our new turkeys home.

***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 3 new videos every week! Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we transition from city dwellers to full time homesteaders!

The ducks are so funny to watch they look like little miniature soldiers marching out.

I've always wanted a duck. 💜
As a retired farmer i enjoy these homestead videos. The excitement everyone has when trying something new reminds me of great days from childhood on. Farming is much better than video games 😁

@Axel Cohen I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I'm surprised people actually questioned you touching the baby bunnies. Not just in the case of meat rabbits, but even pet rabbits, you should check the babies everyday. Look at them, make sure they're being fed properly, and also for handling purposes, so that they get used to being handled by people. Handling the babies is actually 'really, really' important.
Both of you are such great teachers, very organized with your info, very helpful and interesting. God bless
You have so many exciting things going on at your homestead! Everything from how well your garden is progressing to the pigs, the baby ducks, the outdoor garden area, the baby bunnies and now the turkeys! It's exciting and I don't know how you keep up with everything. You do a fantastic job and I'm happy to tag along on the journey and learn. Thank you so much!
You sure look happy. Never seen a video where you don't smile. It sure helps
CONGRATULATIONS, your videos with the animals are calming and fun to watch, thank you for sharing, cluck, cluck, quack, quack, gobble, gobble..Lol..
My brother-in-law used to work for Jennie O. One day his baby turkeys escaped the shed. Because they considered him dad, they followed his footsteps in the snow from the shed to the house😊
I've raised meat rabbits🐇🐇 for 35 years and always handle the bunnies and no problem... I also love having turkeys,,, I need some babies. 🦃🦃
I have blue slate for the last five years, love them! You will be very happy with them!
So funny how the 3 older ducks came out together and then the 6 young ducks came out in a line and waddled around in a close knit group. I guess there's safety in numbers. It's exciting to see the new baby turkeys.
I love your turkey ,brings back a lot of memories . When I was a kid. Living with my grandparents, they hatched three turkeys. Only one lived so they gave him to me . I named him Bimbo .loved that little bird so much . Our neighbor's dog came to our place and that dog killed my little Bimbo . Was s sad day . I love watching your videos . You are definitely living the best life . Lots of hard work , but so rewarding. So to you I say , take care , and God bless .
thanks for the 👍 for the water I always have a problem with the shaving getting in their water
The babies are all so cute. I almost have my husband convinced to try raising rabbits with me in our suburban lot thanks to your videos. Lol
I love Cackle Hatchery! ❤ It's a good thing I don't live within driving distance though.....I would STAY in trouble! I have 4 turkey chicks that I'm raising for meat and haven't decided on my heritage breed just yet. The baby bunnies are adorable, silver fox is also my chosen breed. You two are doing a fantastic job on the homestead, congratulations on becoming just that much more secure in food sustainability. It's a great feeling! ❤
At the beginning I noticed in the background, behind the coop there are some black walnut trees. Have you ever thought of trying to tap them to make syrup? If you haven't tried it yet, it is an amazing treat to have.
OMG, your baby turkeys and bunnies are SOOOO cute... It always cracks me up when you guys video letting your ducks out of their pen in the morning. The three original ducks always quack at you like, "Why the heck did it take you so long to let us out?!?"
I had a female wolf dog and a female turkey that we're best friends. It was so cute! They truely loved and respected each other
I just want to put a lounge chair under one of those trees behind you guys in the last part of the video. Looks so peaceful.
Cool beans .... I'm going to enjoy watching these birds grow up ..... take care Kevin & Sarah .... have a great day.
Those turkeys already look delicious. Sustainable is a wonderful goal for your fowl.
Great Video as always !!! This is going to be interesting to watch the different growth of the turkeys- still love watching the ducks come out though they just make me smile. Cheers Guys Denise - Australia
My PreK classed loved this video of the animals! Thanks again for your thoughtful teaching!

Cute cute cute! Love the babies of the farm! Nothing cuter.
Feed will cost a fortune by fall!!! Even up here in North central WI the corn is only an inch tall. Nights are in 50s and days in 70s. My garden is behind as well as fruit. God Bless us all.....

Sarah, give is a tour of your flower garden again in the near future when you can squeeze it into a video. You planted so many beautiful flower seeds and we have only gotten a glimpse.
My little grand daughter really likes your channel (6 years old). She says she likes all the animals! In the mornings before we start our homeschooling day, we watch homeschoolers or a video like yours while having breakfast. Then studies begin. Anyway, enjoying your videos!
Great video, nothing stays the same, glad you folks are moving forward.
The pan with the waterer is an amazing idea!

Thank you for the great videos and sharing all the valued info. I also appreciate that you are honest in your info and in your videos. It is hard work and it takes great commitment to produce the food you do. You both are the highlight of my coffee break time love watching.

They are such cute babies, and the blue slate sounds like it will be a pretty turkey. Can't wait to watch them grow. God bless!
Good luck with the turkeys! Thanks for sharing.
I absolutely love watching you with the new babies. I have started my new homestead. I've had animals of some type all my life. Once I moved I started over because I'd been in town for 13 years. I had chickens and a put in a small catfish pond. Once my remaining 2 (10) year old hens died I started with 1 day old chicks.
Love your videos and always share.👍👍👍👍👍
Love the new babies.
I am not kidding in the least when I tell you both, I am obsessed with your channel. I have binged watched you for a week now...saving all the recipe videos to help me with canning (I'm a newbie) and learning a lot about these animals. My husband and I watched your pig videos and learned so much about processing...we think we could do it. We know we could if it came to survival, for sure. Thank you both, from both of us, for sharing your journey with us. You two will be invaluable to us in our endeavor. ~Kelly & Michael
Thank you for sharing this video. Your videos are always so informative. You explain your process and why you do it the way that you do. You let us know that this is not the only way to do things, this is just the way you do them. I love this about you. You don't point fingers and say that the way someone else is doing things is wrong. You just do what you love to do and you don't apologize for it but you explain it thoroughly to help others if they choose to do it your way. Your channel is so peaceful and stays out of controversy. It is clearly transparent and you see the love you have for one another as well as your love for your animals and homestead. Thanks again for sharing.
Love the turkeys. I have been trying to talk Marci into getting Turkeys. She is not there yet! Great video!
