I really like how wardlow is being booked. I actually didn’t like wardlow until he was slowly starting to turn face. Because when he was with mjf he was slowly turning against him, and honestly is booking with mjf for the last 2 years or so wasn’t the best. Wardlow is easily my favourite wrestler in aew and honestly I’m starting to like him more then Roman reigns, and I’ve been a fan of reigns for about 5 years now

Interesting thought on how this could have been done differently. I once read an interesting KZread comment about a guy claiming to be a rather muscular and intimidating looking person said that if he ever got jumped on the street, he knows that whoever is attacking him didn’t come planning to have a fair fight, I feel like this could have been done for wardlow here. I think a slight criticism ppl had about the MJF vs Wardlow match was that it didn’t appear like MJF had much of an underhanded game plan coming into it. Something similar could be applied for certain wardlow matches, where if he isn’t going up against an equally physically capable opponent in a regular match, then the match could be made unfair in a way to imply some threat to wardlow at least. Now to talk about this match here, you honestly can’t have wardlow matches just be this slightly cartoonish mash fest. Honestly a better idea for this match would be similar to Taker’s last one. Basically have wardlow go up against let’s say about 12 guys with a various assortment of weapons while wardlow comes into the match unarmed. Now it would be a terrible thing to have wardlow have to repetitively try and pin these 12 guys even in stacks. So instead, I recommend a time limit of about 8 or 10 minutes, where wardlow just has to survive these guys for that long without getting pinned or knocked out. I say maybe 8 cause 10 mins feels a bit less believable to me but that’s just my weird self Now the tension of the match will come from the heel team cheating as soon as they get into the ring like walloping wardlow over the head with a baseball bat before the match starts and continuously beating him down in those hopefully 8 mins. Slowly the match can them turn around where instead of wardlow just surviving, he begins to take down/knock out each and every one of those men. Until he is left standing face to face with mark sterling, all beaten and bloodied up, ready to deliver a powerbomb to a man with a “bad neck”. Instead of cartoon character strong, you could do a badass monster match

Matt Hughes is a legend and has been through the fire and has the physical scars and handicaps from it but those physical scars are exactly why he really shouldn't have been a part of this skit. Not in the role of a henchman for Lambert. Like how do you take it seriously? Matt should have only been there as a bystander or something. As someone accompanying ATT for emotional support or something.

The idea was interesting, the execution could be better, maybe if Brian Cage appeared with Tully Blanchard to challenge Wardlow to be the next on the line for the TNT title could be a good idea! The development of Wardog's journey seems that is giving the first steps, no need to rush any kind of judgment, except for Dan Lambert, Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page know what to do and know how to talk, with all the respect but he doesn't seem to give nothing more than the same thing over and over again! Maybe Wardlow could deliver one Powrbomb on Lambert for him stay away from AEW, and then maybe come back with something new! Hopefully the road to the title match will come up with to good ideas, great matches and memorable moments!
