Objectively it may be a better fight, even if they're not on their prime anymore, it's still the GOAT of the sport vs the GOAT of the division, it's not something you'll see everytime. Even if it's more of a legacy fight, something like that stil feels special to see

It's clear the UFC don't make fights that are in the sports' best interest, only the UFC's best interest. We often see cards get better when people drop out. The biggest and best fights are available but the UFC has other agendas. Why was jones vs stipe even a fight in the first place?

Yo honestly guys, AND PLEASE tell me what you think as well. But I think jones could retire as the champ and relinquish his belt and go out like that. Because no matter who wins between Tom or Sergei THEY WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO FIGHTING FOR THE CHIP. and I think jones coming off an injury will not want to risk his legacy with a very likely potential loss on his flawless record.

The card is absolutely better. I think most fans wanted to see either two guys fight for the belt over Stipe anyways way this seem like the natural progression of things. Pavlovich is definitely in better shape than Tom will be.

Even though stipe is old, thats the better fight. The card took a hit here. I dont mind Tom/Pavlovich but the rest of the card was already kinda thin to begin with
